Columbus: Weinland Park Developments and News
Summit Street replied to JohnOSU99's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & Constructionwell, good to hear it could get some help, but i am cautious as to the way osu would do it. will it be the 'clean up the neighborhood by getting rid of the peoplpe there thing? i'd rather have the city do this neighborhood without osu overstepping their grounds

Cities with a square, a main street, or an intersection...
to an intersection it goes! done looking at the map, i'd say it looks more like an intersection than a square. similiar to troy's situation. for now i'll leave it without a listing but unless you really can bring up a case for square, it'll be intersection well, the Litchfield link just sent me to sharon center again, and i've never heard of the place. so it stays unknown ______ erased! done ah, yes... doh! urbana's intersection is rather strange well then get busy! j/k oh and for now i'll leave dayton a square, but probably change it another dozen times in the future

Article on the Greater Cincinnati dialect
i've heard some people use the please thing, but i don't think i've heard it from the younger crowd. maybe a hundred years ago it was common. (like how the workers in the cincy history museum well tell you they are 'tolerable' if you ask them how they are)

Interesting article on Cheshire, the town that almost died
a year or two ago, when all this stuff was going on, the dispatch did a huge series of articles about this. quite good, i thought. anyone who has gone by there can see how polluted the place is. 'tis unfortunate

Columbus: OSU / University Area Developments and News
Summit Street replied to CMH_Downtown's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & Constructionother than maybe one or two people who have chimed in then left the thread, almost none of us are undergrad students. and the frat boys hooting and hollering annoys me just as much as it annoys you :) oh, and by not big enough, did you mean you want taller buildings, or that you wish the project took up more land? just curious

Article on the Greater Cincinnati dialect
so what the article is saying is that regional dialects are formed by people bringing their different ways of speaking to one place? sorta like how linguists have been explaining that for years? well at least they used examples wait, this article is educational! ahhhh

Summit Street replied to CMH_Downtown's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & Construction^probably not many, as the lantern had an article mentioning how one place would 'cater to the late night crowd, staying open until 9 or 10 pm'... wtf. anyway, the sidewalk has been planted on one side, and trees were put in. most of the exterior work on the high street buildings is finished...and the first sign, panera bread coming soon, hahahah
