Does a theater have to be a mostly-windowless box? I'll assume the practical answer is yes.

Good call. And soon that ginormous surface lot behind the Market may start looking really tasty.

It may be because it's more memorable and shocking, but it sure seems to me like these things end with the cyclist being seriously injured or killed by a car.

Are you a textualist? I'm textually active, yes Haha! I'm going to read your comment to mean that unless the Browns win exactly six games you are banned. a strict textualist would say that he hasn't specified a time frame for those six victories though. Now you're thinking outside the box lol. Traditionally NFL teams only played 6 games a season, so that complicates things. What did YABO mean exactly? From the text it's nearly impossible to know what his intent was. Tough case to decide. Though, textualist interpretation would be applied against the revised NFL charter, not my own words That's not fair, this is our game. Seriously I'm getting that spider sense that the odds folks are really close to dead on with that 4.5 win prediction.

“You read the papers and you’re led to believe that the world is a big, scary place,” Mr. Austin wrote. “People, the narrative goes, are not to be trusted. People are bad. People are evil....I don’t buy it. Evil is a make-believe concept we’ve invented to deal with the complexities of fellow humans holding values and beliefs and perspectives different than our own …" And sadly, what most people will remember about his life was not how right he was, but how wrong he was.

It's too late for that! You're gonna need an amendment.

I'm cautiously optimistic this will meld seamlessly into the Rapid station. Imagining a fast food court with the existing Subway, chinese place, Pizza Hut etc.

Just because something is going to become public, doesn't mean that a groundbreaking ceremony is going to happen this year or next, or even in five years. If Cleveland had its own currency that sentence would be on it.

The Madden simulated 2018 season has them winning 8 games. That would be like the winning the superbowl for this franchise. And could win the division this year for a trip to the playoffs. None of the others are looking terribly impressive. If the 2017 Buffalo Bills can reach the playoffs, who is to say the Browns can't? Other then Ben Roethlisberger I guess.

Okay I also live in SD and yes the Bird's are everywhere. But I haven't seen any scooter accidents. Not one. Albeit I'm not a licensed "Physical Activity Researcher" I'm just a normal idiot. However I have seen about a thousand car accidents.

Okay, apparently direct linking to images in a shared Google Photo album is flaky. I updated the posts with the images attached instead of direct-linked. I'm sure the UO police will let you off with just a warning, just this once. Thanks for posting!

That was good. They also mentioned the theater that everyone here wants to burn down.

I think they'll be much better and much much more competitive. Even so I look at the schedule and see maybe 6 wins. If they manage to go 8-8 that would be like the Superbowl for this franchise.

Favorite Music At The Moment?
They're ghosts now. But I've been loving this song lately, a track that's been sorta hiding in plain sight of me for 30 years. It starts off with a very (very) Byrdseque riff, you have to dig that distinct Rickenbacker sound. Dual Rickenbacker's, now that's like cheating. It's a beautiful and familiar ring. But then something gradually happens that's so cool, the song gracefully exits the 1960's and takes on a life of its own. It becomes a kind of a slackerish and edgy rock and roll song that's, dare I say, unique for its time. Vocally Tom Petty has historically mimicked either Roger McGuinn (again, Byrds!) or Bob Dylan. He's not the only one guilty of this obviously. But on "Waiting" his voice sounds distinctly to me like Tom Petty. Plus the lead vocal melody is simply outstanding, it just flows effortlessly. Petty's voice is doing nearly all the heavy lifting too. I'm not hearing too much background vocals at all. The lyrics are straightforward and it all just seems to fit. Finally, I really enjoy this cheesy video. Here is a band with great chemistry, that's clearly not sick of each other yet, about to hit their stride. It's a fun thing to watch.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
It's a $90+ million project. I believe the latest was that about $14 million was in hand. Perhaps someone can correct/update me? Thanks. Hoping that the momentum for the near west side gets things into gear. If we can't make things happen in OC, we can't make things happen anywhere. I typed that in the voice of Mark from Norton Furniture.

They're probably the only thing keeping the hillside from falling into the river! Ha! Ironically that's why kudzu was brought from Asia, for erosion control. I'm not saying these vines are kudzu vines, but it sure looks like they are eating everything in sight. Anyone know what these actually are? Anyhow, I was under the probably naive impression that this park construction and hill stabilization would be happening soon.

^ Better get started on something soon. No doubt those invasive vines are plotting to take over the entire City.
