  1. Be careful. You'll learn pretty quickly where you're in the most danger. I've found cars turning right on a red light without stopping is probably the most common issue. Also, people blaring their horn at you, for absolutely no reason at all.
  2. Right. I'm surprised at how immaculate the city appears in a lot of this footage.
  3. Wasn't exactly sure where to post this, but here goes!
  4. Kucinich has been all over Fox News defending Trump. Seems like he would have potential to bring the Obama voters who went for Trump back into the D column. I wouldn't count him out as a legitimate contender in a general election. Kucinich is the original Trump. He is a fraud. Kucinich actually helped some of his constituents though. Trump, to my knowledge has helped no one. Ever. [edit: okay so Trump gave money to Rand Paul's charity/political pr stunt in Central America] Kucincih doesn't so much help. He prefers to get in the news but not necessarily help. Well he does have that penchant for raising awareness only AFTER a plant shuts down, or hospital closes. He's Captain Hindsight from South Park lol. But I know several people who Kucinich (or his staff) has gone above and beyond what you would expect from a typical rep.

  6. How many people could the line support, considering they would probably all be wanting to board around the same time? The only way the streetcar would be up to the task is if they ran all 5 of them and they created transit only lanes for game day Gotcha, I suspected as much. I took the trolley to a Chargers game once and it was not an enjoyable experience.

  8. I’d love to see those “come on down to the Avenue” commercials again. YouTube?

This list reminds me of the Kansas City Comets, Baltimore Blast and Tulsa Roughnecks. Indoor soccer, the legacy!
  10. Is that small donut shop or whatever it is "contributing"? https://www.google.com/maps/@39.9858744,-83.0050157,3a,75y,169.86h,85.2t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1sqYjOY1LGMf6HNNU5pAPx0w!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 That used to be a very suburbanized, car-centric spot. Its current incarnation is much safer for pedestrians.
  11. It's open to the public?!?! Heck yeah https://m.yelp.com/biz/sachsenheim-hall-cleveland
  12. ^ Sachsenheim is a hidden treasure. Check it out on Taco Tuesday’s or Wing Wednesdays. They also have $1 burgers on Thursdays. Specials on Fridays can be a surprise. So much character. It’s fun to roam around that place, inconspicuously of course ;-) Ps the cook there is Grumpy, from Grumpys Cafe fame in Tremont.
  13. A former UO forumer is doing the Spang project. Perhaps he can Be persuaded to come out of lurking/retirement to give us a little insight?
  14. ^ that’s a real loss
  15. Great point. I really wish a certain percentage of storefronts were publicly maintained just like other necessary infrastructure. Just get some kind of entrepreneurial types a chance to start somewhere.
  16. I am assuming moving the headway is a non-starter. They could always route the walkway out to the sidewalk around the buildings the back to the river. Not ideal but probably the easiest way to do it. Yep, route the walkway out to the sidewalk! I’ve actually mocked this idea up on here - terribly. But the idea is a good one. Extending the boardwalk past the front doors of those businesses would draw a lot of potential customers. The key is getting people out of their cars and giving them a reason to want to walk.
  17. ^ is it really comparable when the KC system is free?
  18. Awww HELL NO! The city can't even maintain the parks it has, even with staffing levels set at previous higher population levels. If anyone wants to experiment with a park, I continue to maintain that there has to be some way to work with the FAA and city to install a greenway around the perimeter of Burke. Just a strip to facilitate bikes, walks and benches, and provide an east west access point between North Coast Harbor and Gordon Park. But I'd still want to be sure the Metroparks maintains it! Correct. After seeing the local pols struggle with Voinovich Park and the Malls, there’s no way they have the insight or means to address something the size and complexity as Burke.
  19. Funny that scene digs enough to trace political contributions from developers, but refuses to confront Zone for his selective outrage.
  20. Zone is calling out GCP and Gov. Kasich, but not Mayor Jackson. I don’t understand, didn’t Kasich essentially go with Jackson’s recommendations?
  21. Looks like we’ll be losing some vintage glass block.
  22. Mardones was born in Cleveland, it turns out. He was forced out of town by Michael Stanley, no doubt.
  23. Hopefully it will distract some truck driver. And he’ll run it over.
  24. It’s interesting. Apparently some dj somewhere just kept playing the track for years. And luckily for all of us the song finally caught on, and now we can all be uncomfortable about it!
