I prefer the Cleveland.com spelling "looser," but anything that further shames HAslem and company is fine by me. Marching around the stadium in below-freezing temperatures with RV's, accompanied by the likes of Mike Polk. All the while Jimmy Haslam hears about the parade from his multi-million dollar home in Bratenahl and goes "wow, I wish they weren't parading, this stinks." Who is the shamed party in all of this again? Still I have to go with Haslam. The gist of the problem is that the Browns are pathetic loosers and failures of historic proportion. A glittering tower of Failure in pro sports. And while it's a silly thing to march around the Factory of Sadness, you can't blame any of the Browns organizational failures on the parade contingent.

I respectfully disagree. Apathy is the true enemy of the Cleveland Browns.

I was thinking, yeah, Coleman's drop was really bad, the whole season in a nutshell. But even if he did make the catch, I honestly don't think the Browns would have scored a TD anyhow. I can't even imagine the Browns getting past the PITT defense, they just haven't shown the ability. By dropping that ball Coleman simply saved Kizer from being the goat in making yet another red zone INT or fumble. The parade allegedly has 4,000 attendees so far. That's good for the economy, I guess.
  6. I’d like to see more renderings, and cost estimates too, but the land bridge they’re proposing is a much better option than the Rosales bridge. The city has been psychologically disconnected from the water for too long. Rosales emphasizes that disconnect. The land bridge helps cure it.
  7. That's your standard? That places look worse? Ha!
  8. Strange, the place looked pretty good imho. Here's hoping Scalish just keeps moving west right along Detroit. That's one shabby stretch of road.

Thanks for the update. Just wanted to say that San Diego's owners have the money, but the city council delayed the ballot initiative that would have allowed construction to begin. If Cincy gets to MLS you can probably thank SD's politicians because the stadium initiative had public support; it would have passed.

Funny they used a pic of Kent State to illustrate how they're losing interest in football.
  11. From the article the owner stated the business was intended to cater more to residents. I wonder if there are a significant number of BP residents that are averse to outside visitors. Most in BP liked Mike. But in reality there are only a couple hundred residents in BP proper. Assuming not every one of them will go to your place every day, thats tough to keep doors open. Nobody is coming to his place from the burbs as a destination and the younger people in the area didnt really like the concept...its very baby boomerish I met him back when he opened the wine bar, he was really nice. I was just wondering if this latest endeavor was a result of polling the residents on what they wanted, ie a fairly insular place that specifically wasn't a destination spot.

  13. I completely forgot this place existed. The million dollar question.... "We offered great solutions for the community," he said. "Unfortunately after a year and a half we could not hit our projections. Still unsure why." I loved this song as a kid so asked for the 45 for my birthday. My parents ended up with "Whip It" by Devo, which couldn't be more of an opposite song/genre, but certainly was a closer-fit to their white-middle class suburban musical tastes! ;D Way to keep the thread on topic haha.

My friends dad was the engineer on this gem...Cleveland's own, The Dazz Band.

Hue's press conferences are terrible. He's always contradicting himself and sounding aloof. Then again, some of the questions he and the players are getting are pretty bad. I did like how he apologized to the fans. Did anyone else hear some reporter ask Kizer "How in the world did you not see those 3 Ravens defenders when you threw that last interception in the end zone?"
  18. They didn't advertise, and in 20 years not one single person ever recommended going there. I figured the restaurant was just some money laundering scheme.
  19. ^ KJP did you bring "extras" into your shots?

Interesting fact.... "Girl Like You" was written to appear in the movie "Say Anything." Except Cameron Crowe decided that the song was too revealing of the storyline, so it's not in the movie or even on the soundtrack.
  21. In traffic yesterday. The guy in SUV in front of me flipped three lit cigarettes out of the window in a 5 min span. Aside from the usual pro-CLE bumper stickers all over the back there were these two gems: "We Do Not Own the Earth We are Part of it" and "My Goddess Created Your God" If you throw trash out of your car you don't love Cleveland, or the planet. You just suck.
  22. Interesting concept, I hope this works out. Ironborne Brew Works, a brewery on a mission to turn beer into benevolence and craft social good and community impact throughout the region. https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/ironborne-brew-works-good-beer-brewery#/
