Mortgage lenders don’t like mixed buildings. They are of a very inside the box mindset.

Sandusky-Erie Islands: Random Development and News
Damn. All told, and as proposed, the project could take 15 years to complete. So I read that as it may take 25 years to complete. I'm starting to resent amazing looking projects that I may not live to see lol.

SD can still get the franchise. There are no finalists cities yet, just favorites, longshots and those in-between. Never saw that ^ and I'm not sure how that fact eluded us, the tastemakers of NEO. It's disconcerting that's even allowable in 2017.

surfohio replied to Summit Street's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionI'm actually pretty nostalgic over those. Maybe so is the architect. They'll always remind me of the Jersey Shore.

Whatcha Reading?
So you don't consider it patronizing? I've heard mixed takes on that. I have no opinion on the book, or the author really. But I didn't like how NPR relied so heavily on his insights after the election instead of the rural Trump voters on why they voted the way they did. It made NPR, and by extension Progressives seem even more disconnected.

Crew came really close to winning last night. Aw well.....next week they get another shot.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Their building just isn't really inviting. I feel that business would have been much better if their setup was more like Coastal, and not like some 80's restaurant chain.

Electric Cars
This has business networking written all over it. 48,000 people is not really that many people. The California HSR line will connect LA and SD in the 2030s. I know, wish that was sooner. The trains from SD to LA are a cool option, but not conducive for commuting. Also Tesloop appears to be not affiliated with Tesla Motors.

Electric Cars
I read recently that each day 48,000 people travel from San Diego to LA. https://tesloop.com/ All Tesloops are shared rides to maximize the sustainability of the vehicle. You book per seat in our Tesla Model Xs which are driven by our certified and trained pilots. There are 4 seats available to book on any Tesloop. Pricing on Tesloop varies by day, time of day and by seat between $29 - $79. To see how much your Tesloop will be, press "Book Now" on the homepage and search for your desired Tesloop.

Cleveland: Downtown parking craters!
For Stuckart, getting rid of surface lots is all about economic development and aesthetics. The “holes” in the city’s retail core are bad for business and take away from enjoying downtown, he said. “A successful retail area does not have holes,” he said. This appears to have bipartisan support AND a receptive parking lot czar. This is worth keeping an eye on.

Cleveland: Shoreway Boulevard Conversion
A couple miles? Outside of rush hour, I don't think I've seen anyone going less than 40. I don't think I've done less than 45 lol. Funny how after all of that work it is still dangerous merging onto this road.

Columbus: Weinland Park Developments and News
^ The article says they're tearing down a one-story building, any idea what they're talking about? Also, if you are being urged to hang an enormous work of public art on the "blank" side of your new building, it's probably not a good design.

Combine this with promotion and relegation, and we'd have a great, ethical sports league that would actually help U.S. soccer develop talent and compete on the world stage. The MLS/NASL/USL/etc. model will never allow that to happen; U.S. will be a soccer backwater as long as this rigidly tiered structure exists. Agreed. It's stupid that both Austin and San Antonio cannot field teams at the highest level.

Columbus Crew Discussion
As a former Charger fan and a proponent of fiscal responsibility, who believes that Dean Spanos is a spoiled, cowardly, idiotic, lying snake, I wish the city of San Diego would have bent over backwards to keep the team there.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
I agree with you that in some aspects retail should be subsidized because of the reasons you've cited before. Wouldn't it be awesome if small businesses could get the same red carpet treatment that the big developers (and people with the last name Kennedy) get? Probably a good thread topic on its own. But with MM, don't you think if it was a such a great idea that places like Nashville, NYC, etc. would have followed through on their initial plans to compete with Cleveland?

The instant I heard about the med mart concept I thought it sounded really dumb. Then I thought, well, these people are pretty smart, so...." And I was both right.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Good point. That reminds me, I took a very in-depth survey for the Cleveland Indians. I deftly discounted all the loaded questions that seemed an attempt to steer me toward wanting MORE PARKING. The survey took me almost a half hour, and there was not a single mention of RTA as an option.

Does anyone want to make a good guess at how moving to MLS will affect attendance? Will higher pricing possibly mean less fans in the seats? Or will the MLS spotlight mean a healthy increase? The Manitoba Moose of the AHL had a loyal following - not unlike FCC - in Winnipeg, avg. almost 9k fans a game. Yet when the NHL Winnipeg Jets moved back into town the avg. attendance went up to around 15k.
