Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway: Battery Park
So, there's no parking spots due to retail but retail needs needs more parking to thrive? What's the saying? "No one goes there anymore because it's too crowded." Ha. But to his point, is a lack of parking and transit access going to limit retail opportunities? I think BP is going to be a battleground, just like every other popular, dare I say "coastal" neighborhood.

There needs to be more on-street parking made available, if that's even possible right now. I think it's a question as to how much retail is really desired at BP? I'm pretty sure a significant number of residents don't want that type of growth, and would prefer to keep Detroit as the primary retail corridor.

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
Yep, Sat and Sunday. Weekdays generally after 6pm. And also "major holidays," though we could never get any info from the city on what that really includes. Is MLK Day a "major" holiday? How about Veterans Day? I wouldn't risk either!

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
^ That could be the ugliest building in Gordon Square. Glad to see the place get some good use however. It's been looking downright foreboding for the last ten years or so.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway: Battery Park
^ Makes sense. Though I'm surprised you can still build a blank wall right up to the sidewalk. Seriously. Shouldn't that be against zoning?

What's with that fortress type wall?

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Pearl St. in Manhattan was named for the abundance of shellfish there, found in the river. It makes me wonder if the "Pearl St." in Ohio City is of similar origin.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
It's going to be interesting to watch how travel patterns evolve. It's an issue where the city can really help out by being smart and proactive, fingers crossed. The fact that they are already closing W73 after events at Edgewater is enough evidence that improving access to our waterfront attractions is going to require a continual effort.

Metered spots are free on the weekend. I don't remember ever having to pay to park downtown on a weekend.

Why Dayton is cool. The mission of this site is to tell the story of hundreds of people who worked at the United States Naval Computing Machine Laboratory, a top secret project in Dayton during World War Two. These people kept their secret for over fifty years. http://daytoncodebreakers.org/

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Is the '66 Firebird 400 first then? (In '67, a top end Firebird would beat a top end Camaro). I suppose that's the same kind of bias that affected the Bandit's choice in cars. Keep Love. He's getting better on and for this team. We need bench help more than anything. -Clark Kellogg

Listen pal, in my world the 66 Camaro exists. It's cool. And it's the second fastest car in racing.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
I hear ya. I just wonder if we could run some plays. Just because LeBron and Kyrie are remarkable scorers, they had to fight for every shot. It would be nice to get some more easy baskets.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
I'd say our offense is explosive, in the same way a 66 Camaro can run a straight 1/4 mile in record time. But not quite dynamic, like a Ferrari that's fast and can handle the curves. Friday aside, iso-ball seems to have played right into GS's hands.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
unfortunately, i just dont think thats Lebrons game. I cant ever think of a time when a Lebron team looked like the Spurs as their MO. There are times when the offense looks beautiful, but its not normally consistent and how they beat people. Lebron teams usually beat people based on superior individual talent. What they absolutely positively need is for the spot up shooters to hit their shots consistently. They need to be relied upon. Lebron + Kyrie will get them open looks if the opponents bring help defense. Unfortunately the Cavs wasted way too many possessions in the three games in Oakland. Absolutely cannot happen LeBron and Kyrie can't play the entire game though. Perhaps the poor bench play is personnel and not system related?

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
How about the idea of getting a more dynamic offense going? What could this team be like with an established, old school type of coach? In any regard this team really needs to play much better defense.

NHL: General News & Discussion
So much for Southern hospitality haha. I love the traditions in hockey. It doesn't matter if you were trying to kill that guy during the game. As soon as the Cup game ends you line up and you shake hands with the opposing team. The soccer jersey swap is also pretty cool. You see that in other sports too, it's just not as prevalent.

Heck yeah. Took me a second to realize this wasn't a teardown. It is a tear down. Interesting. It looks substantially like the original building facade.
