Cleveland: Original plan for West Blvd and a "parkway system" ring
Good stuff. I know that the U.S. Lighthouse Service used to house the Cleveland-based lighthouse keepers in one or two houses on West Blvd.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Pretty cool. The Cavaliers' best lineup features LeBron James and 4 bench players By Jesus Gomez No five-man unit was as famous in the NBA in the past two seasons as Golden State's "Death Lineup." The combination of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Andre Iguodala, Harrison Barnes and Draymond Green became synonymous with explosive offense and disruptive defense. It was a five-headed monster that the Warriors kept caged until they needed it, then unleashed it to wreak havoc. It was beautiful to watch. Well, the original Death Lineup is suddenly not so scary anymore. In 46 minutes on the court in this postseason it has been outscored by over 17 points per 100 possessions, a dreadful mark. After it got destroyed by the Thunder in Game 4, it wouldn't be surprising to see Steve Kerr shelving it for good going forward. Fortunately, anyone looking for a small unit that gives opponents fits will be happy to know that another one has emerged in Cleveland. The Cavaliers' lineup of Matthew Dellavedova, Iman Shumpert, Richard Jefferson, LeBron James and Channing Frye has improbably become the best short-burst lineup in the playoffs after not sharing the court for a single minute in the regular season. http://www.sbnation.com/2016/5/26/11781600/cavaliers-lineup-lebron-james-channing-frye-breakdown-backup

The Official *I Love Cleveland* Thread
Favorite comment from reddit thread: lcav 42 points 1 day ago As a non-American, I always picture the US as either Manhatten or the middle of nowhere. It's so weird to see a place that is neither. The separation between the taller buildings is so unusual.

Columbus: Downtown: 80 on the Commons
^ What the heck is the speed limit there? In that rendering it looks as if some Formula-1 cars are about to round that corner!

Reddit votes Cleveland skyline to the top of city thread CLEVELAND, Ohio -- Apparently Cleveland's skyline beats views in other places such as Florida, France and Italy. No, we're not kidding. Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Interesting to see if they get this in order before the Republican convention. As described by the ordinance, here are some of the steps an applicant would be required to take: Provide evidence that the area would be "in accord" with the city's master zoning plan, and the area contains no areas that would be hazardous to pedestrian use, including railroad tracks, an area with a "steep grade or slope" or areas that abut bodies of water, including streams, rivers, lakes, etc. ^ Amazing that the FEB has all of these!

I actually kinda like the videos. Except at the end of this one there was an opportunity to differentiate how to swipe the 5 ride card vs. one ride card. I actually did get yelled at a few weeks ago for not knowing this lol.

City Transitions Birdtown Nuisance Property Into State-of-the-Art Single Family Home May 23, 2016 The city of Lakewood has taken a former four-unit apartment nuisance property in the Birdtown neighborhood, and transformed it into a single-family home complete with solar panels. All this while retaining the charm of the historic neighborhood. http://www.onelakewood.com/city-transitions-birdtown-nuisance-property-into-state-of-the-art-single-family-home/

Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
You guys are overreacting. It's not like they want to erect some huge, tacky pair of 5,000 pound dice at the intersection! LOL you're right...the walkway is amazing and the signage is the best it can be lol. To me, it just doesn't look classy at all. I will say, the red lighting strip may be cool. Haha, here's some nostalgia for all of us....

Greater Cleveland RTA News & Discussion
According to Litt's latest PD article RTA has received a $150,000 grant from the Cleveland Foundation and $357,000 from NOACA for art installments along the Red Line. While this is no doubt a terrific visual improvement, I can't help but notice the immense amount of trash that still persists alongside the tracks. Yes, I know there are hurdles to clearing up this problem. Yet after so many years it's time for someone to step up and take responsibility. This is deplorable. It's unacceptable. It's depressing that the first and lasting impression that many visitors will get is that Cleveland is like some third world city, swimming in its own trash.

My favorite is the initial HUGE sign for MLK. Then you turn onto that road, and you can barely see the tiny "Martin Luther King Jr Blvd" sign that notifies drivers that to stay on that road, they have to turn 90 degrees right.

Cleveland: Flats Developments (Non-Stonebridge or FEB)
I could/hope to see this new Metroparks service perhaps add the Whiskey Island Coast Guard station as an option once they get that fixed up. Adding access to it and Wendy Park in general would be great until the proposed pedestrian bridge over the tracks gets going. The bridge connection between the Flats and Whiskey Island then connects with Edgewater Park. Think about that for a moment; this adds a whole new opportunity for just getting around the waterfront without so much hassle.

A Sprung Spring (and Warm Winter) in Cincinnati
Agreed. If I wasn't aware of this forum I'd never have the inclination to visit. I think one issue, to me at least, is that Cincy is certainly not northern, not quite "the Midwest, and not quite "the South." But at the same time, it's all of these. Anyhow there are few cities that can match the personality and potential of Cincinnati. Amazing energy and such great character!

Cleveland: Downtown: The Centennial (925 Euclid Redevelopment)
They've got scaffolding up on the Northeast section of the building, the section along Chester. Looks like they're knocking out some windows. Then again, it could be some kind of prop for Fast and Furious lol. They are filming in Perk Park which is right across the street.
