Glad to see these places getting a new lease on life. Still lots of missing teeth along W.25th. Will be interesting to see the progress continue.

Glad to see the MOnsters wake up in the 3rd. They let in a goal with just 3 sec left in the 1st period. That seemed to take a lot of wind out of their sails. Fun time.

^ Any chance that this is a shrewd economic move by the facility? They buy in an area with good prospects for renewal, rising property values. Then sell in the future and the proceeds could go into a larger facility down the road.

I'm not sure what they cut back because the project's budget grew over the build timeline. I wish architects would do a better job rendering these aspects that are part of the issues that could have been corrected if the details were shown Well "cut back" or "skimped" or whatever, the retail design we're getting imho is very underwhelming as compared to the initial concept.

^ I always thought the retail aspect of PS redesign was most important. And that's precisely the area where they had to cut back. I'm not going to let this ruin my day though lol. But yeah, I almost wish they simply delayed construction until they could come up with something better.

It pisses me off that Pitt has those segregated bike lanes and CLE does not.

Is it cheaper to remove and replant trees every year than it is to take care of trees you already have? I'm pretty sure the cost of trees is very high, actually.

These results should be troubling to progressives touting West Coast planning, economic, and energy policies as models for the nation. If wealthy cities like San Francisco and Portland — where progressives have near-total political control — can't produce positive outcomes for working-class and middle-class blacks, why should we expect their approach to succeed anywhere else? Thought provoking article for sure. I totally get why it's important to track racial demographics. But I'm already leery of whatever race-based "solutions" some progressives are liable to suggest. Fair enough, but this article is a hit piece on "progressive planning", not an argument for it. Sure, I got that. I guess my question is what, if anything, should be done to prevent this migration? Also, the article narrowly focuses on black people, when the larger issue appears simply to be how rising property values affect non-affluent people of any skin tone.

For the first time I've noticed how the angle of the walkway (heading NE) suggests a continuation toward the Malls. I wonder if that was intentional? Have seen a few presentations where linking PS and Malls was a short-term goal. Seems like a well-marked, angled crosswalk could likely further the connection.

Went there yesterday. Highly recommend. Sandwiches and drinks. Outstanding decor. They r still ramping up, but I love the concept Good things happening along Lorain, for sure.
