Cleveland: Downtown: Drury Plaza Hotel Development
Looks like a buck hoist (Construction elevator) similar to what was on the outside of The 9 Tower, what is currently on the exterior of the Hilton and basically any high rise construction. Cool. Thanks!!

Nice! Anyone know, is the scaffolding there to facilitate interior renovation? Or just windows? The exterior looks pretty good to my untrained eye.

Cleveland sports talk radio
I can't picture Baskin and Phelps ever splitting up. To me their show is like pb&j...never amazing, but reliably okay. Those two have often been cheerleaders for downtown and RTA at times which is refreshing. Then again, I have never quite been able to tell who was who haha. They're manner of speaking is just so similar.

Cleveland sports talk radio
Was he fired for bad mouthing Haslem and the Browns? Gotta admit I've not listened to this show in months. Kiley and Booms was a great national radio show....but that was YEARS ago. I don't know if talking Cleveland sports (Browns, Browns and Browns) 24/7 just brings the worst out of sports radio. p.s. somebody said "Kiley and Levine." Les Levine is like the kiss of death for a radio show. He is to sports talk what Ted McGinley is to a sitcom. Les is so one dimensional that you have to fit in completely with his mindset; he generally has a terrible rapport with the callers.

Mansfield - July 2014
Great pics! For a while Mansfield was getting ranked like 279/300 on those "Best Places to Live" listings....was dragged down by lack of entertainment, lack of cultural amenities, bad weather and bad economy. But these photos really show a diamond in the rough. Plus, it's home to Snow Trails Ski Resort. I've just been reading that ski resorts are successfully becoming year round attractions. Seems something to build on.

Cleveland: Downtown: Hilton Cleveland
Maybe they're finally going to take my advice and add 10 stories of condos on top of it! ;) That would make "value engineering" a term of endearment.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
^ Nice. I think Shumpert's also going to get open looks. If he can just provide a somewhat reliable scoring threat I think that will be the difference in what everyone expects to be a really close series. Also I want to see MOZGOV and Tristan and LBJ all posterize Joking Noah by throwing down right in his ugly face. But if not I'll be glad just to see CLE take the win. Exciting stuff on tap!

I bet FWD will spur a friendly rivalry across the river with Shooters. Seems like they're going for the same kind of atmosphere.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
Exactly. I wish more businesses would try and make their own history, as opposed to going to the corporate well for bland ideas. What makes this even more ridiculous is that FEB is a historic district in its own right, with a downright amazing history. Why not play that up?

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
This is almost as corny a concept as the crop idea that never sprouted in Waterloo. I thought the concept, concentrating an immense record collection in Waterloo was pretty cool. All of Waterloo has that unrefined, coolness factor still well intact. Now the microbus and the ancient Haight-Ashbury theme....well yeah that's entering the limits of cornball city.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Wow...heavy stuff. Huskies' Shelton still fighting anger after brother's shooting death BY TODD DYBAS [email protected] 25, 2013 A motor-driven cluster of needles shoved ink below the skin of Danny Shelton’s upper chest to spell out “Search For The Truth” his freshman year at Washington. Those words reveal Shelton’s open-ended pursuit. He’s trying to figure out his true self. He’s wondering if he has caged the anger that has festered in his soul since his brother was shot to death in front of him two years ago. Stamping out the fury has been a trying and disjointed process. Everything about Shelton is wide. His legs, arms, shoulders, face. At 6-foot-1, 327 pounds, Shelton used his bulk and power to snatch a gun away from a gang member, then start beating him in the face with it. Shelton tries to use that ferocity to shove 300-pound foes onto their behinds or at least back several steps during college football games. Though he considered discarding football after his brother’s shooting, it has provided Shelton a regimen. The former Auburn High School star played with a cast-encased broken hand and wonky hamstring last season, starting all 13 games at nose tackle. He made 45 tackles. He was named to the Pacific-12 Conference’s all-academic first team. Read more here: http://www.theolympian.com/2013/08/25/2688452/staring-down-lifes-challenges.html#storylink=cpy

Cleveland: Downtown: Hilton Cleveland
The real life version is looking rather impersonal when compared to the renderings...never fall in love with a rendering lol. Glad to see some optimism on here that it will still end up looking pretty good.

^ That owner rocking the track suit!!! Glad to hear they're not glitzing it up too much. I really liked the original Odeon and it's good vibe, low key Reggae oriented pre-Odeon incarnation, the Tap House.

Well, now we know if someone rips Noah's arm out of the socket it's only a one game suspension.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Seeing this for the first time, it cements my feeling that I don't want any traffic whatsoever bisecting it. I don't like how the rendering hints at the street continuance through the square. It really takes away from the aesthetics.

The Official *I Love Cleveland* Thread
Twenty-five years ago when I was at Ohio State, a preacher named Brother Jed would set up shop on the Oval on sunny spring days and shout at sinner students as they walked past. Sometimes a kid would stop and try to debate the guy, but it was pointless. Brother Jed used to say the words "Devil" and "Hell" in a kind of long and drawn out, Roy Orbison manner, the likes of which I have not heard since.

What are you watching?
He plays a very good psychopath. He fooled me. I thought he was too meek to play the character, but as his story has developed he's is starting to convince me he can play a dark and devious character. Exactly! I like how you're seeing his descent, and motivations behind it. I like watching him and the Penguin the most!
