Panhandling/Scamming stories
People not used to panhandlers usually get caught up in unwanted conversation. They're too polite to cut off or ignore someone who is talking. "Hey, can I ask you a---" Sorry man.

Cleveland-Lakewood: Enhance Clifton Transit Project
Pulling people over for obstructing the bus lane will probably obstruct the bus lane. The irony.

What a great connector this Park could be.

Cleveland: Shoreway Boulevard Conversion
If I recall correctly, the Shoreway conversion plan played a key role as a catalyst for Battery Park.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
I understand that Mack was a huge loss, but an entire O line doesn't usually go to ruins so dramatically. Maybe the Browns offensive scheme has simply become too predictable. Hoyer just looks really uncomfortable to me.

Cleveland: North Coast Transportation Center
KJP- if not built over the tracks where do you envision the multimodal transit center being built? Is there enough land where the current amtrak station/surface lot is for a new train station as well as bus bays for Greyhound to be built, or do you envision this somewhere else? I've always pictured the transit center over the tracks, but you're right the cost is most likely to high to realistically get that done, and that sliver of land seems like the only other place to go, but that seems like a squeeze to me. There's tons of land at the Muni lot, but to me that's just too far from the core for something like this. I apologize if all this was discussed uptread, just let me know. But I thought all discussion was on something being built over the tracks and creating a "Mall D" on top. I'm curious about other ideas to get this done more quickly. Is it possible that the Center could be done in conjunction with a High St. Columbus style cap for E. 9th Street?

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
For me it's simply the name. Tremont has a great ambiance; it's unique and represents what's special about Cleveland. So when a business feels the need to market itself using the style and allure of some other touristy city, it makes me question if this person really "get's it." That's all.

2014 Gubernatorial Election
I wonder what WWII veterans think of this term "war on" being bandied about so freely. Well they could have seance and ask Nixon, Reagan and Lyndon Johnson. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_on_Poverty http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_on_Drugs

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
Oh that's just not good. Tremont establishments don't have to try to mimic other stereotypical fun places to be cool. That removes the cool. Its like a cool-ectomy being done on Professor Ave. Agree. The name is awful, and it doesn't seem to fit in Tremont. Maybe we should open a Texas Road House next door....there's gotta be some mechanical bulls laying around CLE. ;-)

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
I don't like to predict the future, but the trendline is for less money to be available for public works projects. This country increasingly is focused on the cost of such investments rather than their value. So my thought is that communities that are able to build as much infrastructure today will perform better during leaner times to come than those that didn't invest in infrastructure now. Use it or lose it. The enemy of the good is the perfect. He who hesitates, waits.... Any other cliches I can throw out there? I am just hoping that the bridge can still be designed well, at least well enough so in so that we're not regretting it in a few years. Good functionality and aesthetics are essential for the Lakefront. As far as costs are concerned, I hope brighter minds than mine are working to design this thing in a way to capture as much revenue-generating potential as possible.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
- Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
At this point my guess is we'll see gerbil-tube-on-concrete-columns. I hope I'm wrong. But rush job and limited funds usually make for poor planning. Does anyone know when they will show design proposal?- Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
I'd much rather they postpone this until it can evolve into something better.- Cleveland Cavs Discussion
That dunk was acceptable. Though he still looked goofy running back down the court!- Cleveland Cavs Discussion
This is all I can see haha. This portion of the requested page has been blocked. Click here for details. Can you post the link I evidently can't get embedded video anymore.- Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
And I also think he's 100 percent right that to fix connectivity the pedestrian bridge needs to be much more than a glorified gerbil tube.- Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
The Banks looks so auto centric. While the lakefront has to be accessible to cars/visitors, the place absolutely has to be pedestrian oriented. - Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
