Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
There is a medium sized CMHA parcel with 8 duplexes bounded by West 5th, 6th, and Jefferson. In a dreamworld, I'd see them replaced with a bunch of single family homes, similar to the brick-faced Chicago style homes further north on West 6th. Little chance of it ever happening. CMHA doesn't let go of property often. Even if you made some of them available for low-income sales. CMHA should be obligated to take steps that are financially advantageous to them.

When Cleveland.bomb commenters are trashing your architecture, it's probably not really good. SeamlessTransition 2 days ago I'll bring over some of my thoughts on this building from the article from earlier this month ago declaring the city's approval of this...ahem...building: this is not even remotely good architecture I hope an asteroid hits it Norman Foster (and now the architecture firm noted in this story), never tell anyone that you are associated with this a lifeless, moribund, colorless campus....such is the CCF campus.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Me and our mutual friend went on a walking tour of Playhouse Square and immediate areas last week. One of the things mentioned was this years holiday event (tree lighting, etc) will actually be held there at the intersection of East 14th and Euclid instead of Public Square. Is that "ASAP" enough. Nice!! p.s. they picked a good replacement locale for sure.

Looking for a quiet area of Cleveland
I would suggest the Cleveland/Lakewood border on Lake Ave. Lots of apartments. Virtually no kids. Best of luck in your search.

Cleveland: Downtown & Vicinity Residences Discussion
I've never lived in a mixed use building so I can not comment on that. However, I struggle with the idea of living in a modern office highrise that was converted to residential. I've worked in the Galleria and though I'd miss open windows, I'd live there in a heartbeat. The views of the lake and city are amazing and would make up for the negatives. Plus I like the idea of mixed use, it just makes for a more 24/7 livelier neighborhood.
