Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
While the restaurants are sure to have cool views, this is going to take even more basically out of the stadium. With the trend toward indoor options, the crowds are so much sparser, taking a lot of energy away from the event imho. Discussing stadium renovations, Scheiner said one of the benefits of the two new huge video boards is that it creates an empty area behind each end zone. The team will install restaurants behind those boards. On one side, you can see Lake Erie. On the other, it's a view of the city. "Sometimes, our concourses were too crowded," said Scheiner. "This will give our fans more room." http://www.cleveland.com/pluto/index.ssf/2014/07/terrys_talkin_about_kevin_love.html#incart_most-read

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
My point is that WE don't know yet what assurances there are or aren't. That's all. For all we know Love could want to go long term with Boston or Chicago or Golden State. p.s. can't find your SAS report It was on Mike&Mike, not First Take. Here ya' go - http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=11262634 (approx. 6:00) thanks!

Some guy who works at Hopkins called WKNR or 92.3 to report he Kevin Love at baggage claim. Perhaps it was the same baggage claim where I once met MIKE FRATELLO [name drop]

NFL: General News & Discussion
But coach A-hole said he was a "good guy." Yep. Someone give him the Walter Payton MOY award he's a good guy.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Sure. While Love said he'd resign with Cavs, he never said that was the only team. And heck, would he really resign with Cleveland? We don't know. Just because he said it doesn't mean it'll happen.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
No they'll never start the season with Love on the roster. But there's time for a Chicago or someone to theoretically get stupid and try and outdo the Cavs.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Certainly. And it makes sense for the the Wolves to wait this out.

Cleveland: Flats Developments (Non-Stonebridge or FEB)
When the Towpath gets finished (or improved in the case of Steelyard) we're going to see the "Peninsula effect" taking place all along the route.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
This may be a case where if a deal isn't done, both GM's will be doing their teams a disservice. Again, virtually everyone in the media is saying "do this!" It just makes a lot of sense.

Cleveland: Warehouse District: Development and News
Currently the Warehouse District feels like an island, completely disconnected from the rest of downtown by giant parking lots. The connection development would create would be amazing. Well to be fair, the Justice Center deserves just as much blame for isolating the WD. It's terrible. It would be money well spent to re-imagine how the current buildings interact with the street/surroundings.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Bryant Park is a transit hub far far beyond the capacity of Public Square. Does it work there because it's a subway?

What are you watching?
Enjoyed True Detective, Spartacus and Hanibal Season 1. Finally got the last season to Breaking Bad, it was right up there with The Wire for best ever. Currently watching Californiacation and Dexter on Netflix. It's entertaining in a dumb way.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
That structure you see in the background is a parking garage, but that's not happening as part of phase two. For the foreseeable future, that property (just east of the club) will be a surface lot. Michelle Interesting. I actually prefer the surface lot until the parking garage can evolve into something more.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
http://media.cleveland.com/business_impact/photo/fwd-flats-elevation-040d3b9e63df5290.jpg One of the criticisms of the original FEB was that the bars/restaurants walled off access to the river. While the boardwalk obviously creates unprecedented access alongside, it doesn't seem like this new concept embraces the river at all. At least the original places got that right. This FWD should be renamed "FORTRESS." Heck, the Chagrin Falls architect even features "chain link fence" in the drawing ha ha. Very classy guys. What the heck is wrong with these people?
