Cleveland Cavs Discussion
I caught some of the game last night and saw Mobley was just muscled around quite a bit by Indy's defense. Scary to think what his stats would be if he were stronger. Anyone saying the Cavs should trade Allen can now see how we look without him, and they need to shut up. Cavs still not guarding 3p line. Strus looking like an upgrade to Cedi. Niang looking not so good...yet. Caris and Okoro are bringing it. I cannot help but statwatch Lauri and Sexton all season. It's forever intriguing to think about "what if" that trade never happened.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
My vote as far as bridge art is concerned would be a nod toward history, celebrating the reconnection to the water. An updated version of this:

Sad. Forty years this place slowly decaying. It's a true testament to how bizarrely devalued the Cleveland waterfront had become.

Cleveland SC Soccer Stadium
Oh man me too. I love the Open Cup! It really is such a cool thing that soccer has over the other major sports. And Cleveland getting USL just makes a lotta sense.

City of Cleveland & Bike Cleveland Share Plans for Superior Midway Project Mon 10/23 @ 6PM Bike Cleveland’s main mission is to advocate for transportation infrastructure that’s safe and inviting for all, not just cars. One project they’ve been pushing for —with ten years(!) of “advocating, planning, and public outreach” is the Superior Midway Network. “Once fully complete, the Midway Network will be a transformative step forward for Cleveland residents and visitors alike to embrace active transportation within a safe and inviting riding environment,” they share. “This first corridor, from Public Square east to E55th Street represents the first step of this transformation. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2025.” But this week, they’re inviting people to come down to the Cleveland City Hall Rotunda for the city’s first open house to share preliminary information about the design. It includes a center median bike path separated from traffic; new pedestrian crossing islands; pavement repairs; new signs, signals and pavement markings; new curbs with ADA-compliant ramps; landscaping; and more. All are welcome at this event. You can even ride your bike there! https://coolcleveland.com/2023/10/city-of-cleveland-bike-cleveland-share-plans-for-superior-midway-project/

A friend just stayed at The Orbit Hotel, Trademark Collection by Wyndham. Never knew it existed, but it's a cute place in homage to mid century modern and the atomic age over by NASA. The person at the desk said "it's going to sold in a couple of weeks."

That's just not accurate of how people feel on this subject. It is a spectrum and a lot more complicated than two opposite sides.

New pump station will reduce sewer overflows into the Cuyahoga River (video) Published: Oct. 12, 2023, 8:13 a.m. By Peter Krouse, cleveland.com CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District is nearing completion of a pump station on the near West Side of Cleveland that should help make the Cuyahoga River cleaner for years to come. The pump station, expected to go into operation around the first of the year, will allow the new Westerly Storage Tunnel to start taking in wastewater, including about 300 million gallons of combined storm runoff and sanitary sewage that would otherwise be dumped into the Cuyahoga each year at the Walworth Run outfall in the Flats. The storage tunnel is one of seven such tunnels either completed or under construction that are designed to greatly reduce the number of combined sewer overflows into local waterways that occur during heavy rains. https://www.cleveland.com/news/2023/10/new-pump-station-will-reduce-sewer-overflows-into-the-cuyahoga-river.html- Cleveland Browns Discussion
