Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
Totally ignoring the existing and historic streetscape. CSU is terrible. They learn nothing. This is EUCLID AVE. It requires a higher standard.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
When they didn't resign Dawson my first thought was "well that's a few close games in the loss column for the Browns."

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
I bet it is that Cleveland State elementary school which is currently over in Midtown I believe The Public Safety building is awesome. And that's Tower Press also on that block. What they're doing with the surface lot is a mystery. That's where I was hoping to win the lottery and build a soccer stadium for Cleveland's MLS team...guess that's not gonna happen now lol.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
This is precisely the reason why it's sooo important that the developers understand the unique nature of coastal development. From the track records of the names thrown around I'm not yet optimistic.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Club patrons are not happy about the manner in which police conducted themselves. Some even feel that the City and police need to be shamed into addressing this issue more seriously. That's all I can say right now.

The Official *I Love Cleveland* Thread
From the tone of the article I'd say she got the bouquet first!

hey man -- its cayman!
thx and i think you could tell, but if you are curious just to confirm there is definately no surfing cayman. typically, the water is smooth as glass. No surf? That's okay, not every destination can be as fortunate as Cleveland ha ha. I do also love snorkeling quite a bit, and man you're right that looks like the perfect place for it!

hey man -- its cayman!
That was really cool to see. I'm not sure what I expected. Some interesting buildings for sure. Some of the more corporate architecture seemed kind of terrible looking. Thanks for posting!

The YMCA is moving in some time, eventually. I hope it's a really great branch like in Lakewood.

Cleveland Rapid Rail Construction Projects (Non-Service Issues)
^ I think the "graffiti wall" is just the loud, purple-ish artwork similar to W117 station.

^ In addition to restoring much of the interior, Was is replacing the gloomy glass-block front windows with real see-through glass. Really if wish all glass block could be destroyed immediately!

Cleveland Guardians Discussion
Saw the Tribe today in Anaheim. Lots of Indians fans in attendance! I ended up liking Angels Stadium a lot more than I thought I would, fun atmosphere. Another win for the good guys!

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
You guys remember, was it a prominent Dutch urban planning firm that recommended the city replace all of these cool old bridges? Stupidest idea I've ever heard. The FEB has lost enough of its unique, historic character already. IMHO now is the time to start embracing and preserving the historic look and feel of whatever is left.

Cleveland: Detroit-Shoreway / Gordon Square Arts District: Development News
I already have to stop myself from saying "Jacobs Field" for the rest of my life. I don't like this change either.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Exactly! Which is why I was really excited during that ten minute timespan when Randy Lerner and the Browns were involved. Anyhow while even the prospect of new construction is absolutely exciting, I don't see this space working unless the current assets are better tied together. Beating a dead horse after 10 years of saying this perhaps, but the same connectivity/walkability of Baltimore's Inner Harbor is what we must accomplish here asap. The programming - and the architecture - of the Rock Hall, Science Center, Browns attractions (ie a monument park) and even the Coast Guard has to drastically change in order to embrace the public in a pedestrian friendly environment.

Cleveland: Skylift Aerial Tram
Thanks! p.s. Sammy's Metropolitan Ballroom is a one of a kind experience for groups of up to 400 for a seated event or 700 for a theater style reception. Our 21st floor location offers a panoramic view of Cleveland's North Coast. The historic 1924 Art Deco ballroom was built as the ticket lobby for the U.S. Airship Company of North America. Zeppelins flew from Cleveland to New York City and Chicago. You boarded the belly of the Zeppelin right from the 21st floor of the Huntington Building formerly called the Union Trust Company. Sammy's Metropolitan Ballroom is available 24/7, centrally located and ideal for group training, meetings and conferences. http://www.sammys.com/metropolitan.shtml How cool is that!

Shouldn't we save some space and merge this with the Cleveland Demolitions thread?
