Greater Cleveland Sports Commission News & Info
I have a spot waiting for them on the near east side/CSU area. A surface lot, wedged between two gorgeous buildings that would frame the best, most intimate stadium in MLS. I'd say more, but then you would steal my idea and get rich lol.

Akron: Random Development and News
Actually 15 years ago we used to buy bowling balls at Goodwill on W. Market for 50 cents each, then hurl them off of the roof of the the abandoned BFG buildings at Canal Place. For science!

What a great story it would be if Oden could revive his career with the Cavs. I say take the risk, it's worth it.

Children in Cleveland
If you choose Ohio City, note of caution, The Arts and Sciences Preparatory Academy is not an attractive option for school. The staff there are inundated with students that are out of control.

Best wishes with the house! I have the feeling that this place will be a lot like XYZ in Detroit-Shoreway.

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
Right. Unclear. It sorta sounded like he was thinking out loud with his answers. Either that or his interview was poorly or overly edited down. That's happened to me.

Wow, what a strangely contradictory interview! Should be interesting though. Love that building. I bet this place will be hugely popular.

In CLE: need advise with new business attire
My business suit shopping has been delayed. However, I did have enough funds to buy all new casual clothes, and spent about 200.00 at Kohls and Target. Have had several compliments on losing weight - I haven't, it's just that I'm finally wearing shirts and pants that fit correctly. I am looking at my former clothes and suddenly realizing how slobby they made me look in comparison. Thanks everyone for the enlightening discussion. MTS I'll be getting back to you pm with some more questions. Also, saw this helpful groupon today: The Deal $59 for a Kenneth Cole men’s Melton car coat in black (422CM661) ($250 list price) $60 for a Kenneth Cole men’s Melton pea coat with removable knit bib in black, charcoal, or midnight (422CM665) ($250 list price) http://www.groupon.com/deals/gg-kenneth-cole-mens-peacoats?p=1&utm_source=channel_goods-deals&utm_medium=email&sid=c76dd74d-e4fe-4c25-ba72-629fd85698c3&division=cleveland&user=507ae241b1170cedffc7076f40b363ca1bba5a569a75f15c6ac9d88c824ad686&date=20130123&s=body&c=deal_img&d=deal-page

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
I agree there's no reason Cleveland couldn't become a first class host city. Aiming for anything less makes no sense imho. You think of even modest versions of the lakefront plan, combined with the changes we expect to see downtown in the next 5-10 years and it's an incredible make over. This city deserves its place on the national stage every bit as much as any other. That being said, I'd prefer a retractable roof where the Browns have the decision for open or closed games. Though I'm certain the NFL wouldn't allow this for some reason.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
I didn't want a college coach here. I'm much more in favor of a proven Norv Turner developing the offense vs. Kelly. Anyhow, it will be interesting to keep an eye on Philly. I can already hear the pundits spinning the next Browns-Eagles hurt feelings/rivalry game. I keep hearing local commentators speaking (favorably) about getting Michael Vick as Browns QB. I could be wrong, but I see that as a PR disaster in the making. Only a very small percentage of radio callers support this idea. I know I wouldn't ever root for the Browns with Vick under center.

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
How much would it cost? IIRC I've seen estimates as low as 40 million. In 5 years I think downtown CLE may be ready for it's superbowl hosting party.

Cleveland: Innerbelt News
I like the "car themed" wall so much better. The "Cleveland Rocks" art just looks very fake/strange. I mean, I've never seen a concert where every single person had their hands raised like that. It's conformist; and worse, it's the polar opposite of authenticity. It seems silly to be so opinionated over this. But IT IS going to be the first impression for so many people.

Cleveland: Innerbelt News
Anyone remember the "Urban Forest" that graced the E 9th exit? Seven dead saplings, weeds, litter and a big sign. That was glorious.

And this, in turn, will help the running game. Norv Turner's offense will be the best thing ever for T-Richardson.

Cleveland's Tower City Center - declining or realigning to its market?
I love that you can walk through there fairly late at night. It's got a really cool ambiance. Plus there's a sense of permanence that most every other shopping mall lacks. I'd love to see how an imbedded residential population would add to the equation.
