From what I understand the lifespan of the structure is close to the end. Does anyone have any indication of how long it could support vehicular traffic?

That could be really cool. I had the rare opportunity to bike across it once following some friends in the Cleveland Marathon. A hail and then snowstorm broke out and it was just like a sheet of ice! If your idea does happen I'd welcome some pretty tall plexiglass around the perimeter, because it's actually pretty terrifying up there lol.

For this I put a lot of blame on bad planning and inappropriate architecture for the special location. The Rock Hall and the Science Center absolutely need to be better connected (for people not cars) and to have more outdoor attractions. It's really frustrating, but it's fixable.

In other coastal places that place would be "the boardwalk" or something that is similarly attractive with amenities catering to all ages. Cleveland...needs a boardwalk.

I think if or when there are more events going on, and the Rock Hall and Science Center improve their outdoor programing the Park will be more of a destination. Then the pedestrian flow will show the value of the bridge. Right now the anchor attractions are not very integrated and in general there's just not enough "there" there....yet.

College football needed a bit more of an expanded playoff. Instead we are going to get more dysfunction, I'd be willing to bet on it.

I'm not really sure how this whole realignment helps college football. What is the end game here?

Some improved bike infrastructure leading to Zone Recreation Center/Red Line Greenway would help kickstart this area, I would hope.

With the park's proximity to the river, expect to see some green infrastructure set in place to minimize runoff pollution: Project Clean Lake includes a minimum of $42 million in green infrastructure projects. This includes stormwater control measures (or SCMs) to store, infiltrate, and evapotranspirate stormwater before it even makes its way to the combined sewer system. I'm guessing there will be rain gardens along the the hillside, would make a lot of sense. Also interesting to note that EPA has considers Cleveland's in violation of the Clean Water Act, apparently because the treatment facilities have not performed to their legally required levels. What I thought. It appears they've used native plants along the towpath, which is awesome. I thought the plan in this particular space was more of a traditional urban park space, something more akin to the the Malls or Public Square.

I hope I'm very wrong, but with the public meetings and "preliminary vision" I'm getting a 2002 Lakefront Plan vibe from all this.

You think that would be a solvable issue lol. It doesn't need to be processed like drinking water. And I'd posit that most small parks, the ones meant to look nice, do have sprinkler systems. Same for athletic fields.

The Subway/Georgios seems like a no brainer for a 3-4 story mixed use building. And isn't there still some fairly large surface lots east of W65? Speaking of W65, south of Detroit the land-use is not optimal. It could sure use some urban redevelopment in place of what seems like a quasi-suburban dead zone.

You mean as far as fact pattern goes? Robert Kraft's criminal case was dropped because the evidence against him, though damning, was gathered illegally. Whereas the Watson issue is currently a disputed civil matter. If you're the NFL I think there are numerous factors (or excuses) for treating the two cases differently.
