Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Good news! Though don't be surprised if the offense looks a bit out of sync for a bit. But by all means his style of play should be another complimentary piece of the puzzle.

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
I hear you, but need to add that in my experience people often will purposefully subject themselves to the negativity if in their mind the pros outweigh the cons. Like, I live in arguably the loudest, weirdest, most chaotic neighborhood on the West Coast. Every night there are loud bands, street musicians, crazy parties, drum circles, people literally playing with fire, public drinking/drug use, dumb arguments, people getting hit by cars, crime etc. etc. There are a lot of homeless people everywhere and it is legal for them to sleep on the sidewalk, and every night, they do. Convenient parking spaces are oftentimes impossible to find and traffic for the beach makes it a chore to come and go. And yet even still, it is nearly impossible to rent here, let alone buy, as prices have absolutely gone through the roof. For any open unit there are typically hundreds of applicants. Is Ohio City, or other cool Cleveland neighborhoods enough of an attraction for people to put up with this kind of stuff?

Cleveland: Crime & Safety Discussion
Lekko Coffee is so popular I can hardly get a spot in there when I am in town. But I will say I wish they could do something more beneficial with the project housing. There has to be a way to remake the place as more connected, more diverse, safer and to provide better opportunities without displacing the residents there. The way that housing is practically hidden away and isolated now is just very strange.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Market District Hotel
Getting a brutalism vibe from the 1-2 floor "pedestal" section of the building. It looks kind of defensive and clunky to me. But maybe in context of the surrounding buildings it will look better.

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
Yep you wanna buy now before all "Dugout" logos are clumsily replaced by "PROGRESSIVE."

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
Phelps and Ruiter don't want to be fired. They can criticize Haslam to a degree about the team, but this stadium issue is off the table.

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Football Discussion
I think they will want that New York media market....even though I am from NJ and I only knew one person in the entire metro area who cared about Rutgers football. Maybe there is significant new interest with the shift to the new conference?

The Ohio State University Buckeyes Football Discussion
Having that many teams in a conference is just so so stupid.

Bills vs. Chiefs I would say the home team wins.

Cleveland: Hotel Development
I stopped by to visit a friend who was staying there last year. I had never heard of it prior to that. I thought it was really cool. They need to market themselves better.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Ty is giving me Ricky Rubio vibes. Not that they're so similar, but having that extra PG in the mix has been a key element in the Cavs success on offense.

FC Cincinnati Discussion
No idea how much this weighs in, but the midwest has been underrepresented so far in both of the women's pro leagues. So I hope it's either Cincy or Cleveland and not Denver.

Cleveland SC Soccer Stadium
I had some posts deleted. I did not think I had posted anything even remotely inflammatory or controversial. Anyhow some more soccer news: D3 Women’s Pro Soccer Coming Soon to Cleveland WPSL Pro Cleveland is a forthcoming women’s professional soccer team. We’ll play in WPSL Pro, a new U.S. Division 3 women’s professional soccer league, which kicks off in 2026. I’m starting this team (hi, I’m Gina Prodan Kelly!) because there’s a gaping hole on the women’s side of the player pathway. But not for lack of talent. Bringing a WPSL Pro team to Cleveland gives girls & women in our region another support, another stepping stone toward their personal bests — and we’ll all get to watch rising stars & the landscape of soccer growth & evolve in Northeast Ohio. https://www.wpslprocleveland.com/

Cleveland: Random Development and News
I feel like it was always more than that, though. The beer and wine tastings upstairs provided a food hall atmosphere. When I worked in downtown CLE my friends and co-workers would visit several times a week for lunch and after work hangouts. It was a lively and unique space. I don't even want to read Ken's article because I am sure it will depress me.

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
Right. And if the roof can be shown to justify the added public expenditure then great....but so far has anyone seen any credible evidence the JimmyDome (haha love that one) will draw a significant number of events?

The Ghost of Phil Dawson laughs at stadium wind haha.

Cleveland: Flats East Bank
I had always hoped that Samsel could stick around and orient themeselves as a local hardware store. Not the entire building, but just on the ground floors, with residential conversion upstairs. I suppose the neighborhood residential numbers would need to be a lot higher for that to have worked out.

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
Not only that...but how about the streak of perfect sunny and 70 degree weather games this season?

Agree. Now can the places on the right lighten up their street presence at all?

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Yes sir, residential is gonna be key here. But the Cavs and sports facility aspect ties into what I am hoping the City comes to represent for the future: a commitment to community health and wellness.
