Cleveland Browns Discussion
If this is indeed true then I'd want these players traded asap. Then again I'm on the verge of giving up on the NFL anyhow. The league is a joke. Multiple Browns say 'come get me' to Cardinals By Nick Shook Around The NFL Writer Published: Dec. 16, 2019 at 03:02 p.m. Come get me. What a phrase, a request, a desperate plea for freedom that is those three words. We first heard it uttered in the NFL last season, when disgruntled safety Earl Thomas asked the Dallas Cowboys to acquire him from the Seattle Seahawks. We heard it again in recent rumors describing Odell Beckham Jr. as unhappy in Cleveland. After Sunday's Browns loss to the Cardinals, it sounds as if such a desire is spreading like a virus. NFL Network's Michael Silver reported per two sources as the Week 15 contest ended, "multiple" Browns players yelled toward the Arizona sideline to "come get me," including wide receiver Jarvis Landry. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001088854/article/multiple-browns-say-come-get-me-to-cardinals

Cleveland Browns Discussion
This season was a whole new level of frustrating to witness, for several reasons I don't want to even discuss. This is the wrong franchise to expect patience in allowing a head coach learn on the job. I'm firmly on the get Ron Rivera bandwagon as of today.

Hyperloop
More Money to be Wasted on Ridiculous Studies oops Cleveland hyperloop benefits would justify $29.8 billion price tag: study By Steven Litt, The Plain Dealer CLEVELAND, Ohio — A high-speed hyperloop line that could zoom passengers through a vacuum tube from Cleveland to Chicago and Pittsburgh could cost from $24.7 billion to $29.8 billion to build, depending on variations in the route and stops along the way. But the profits and economic benefits would justify the expense and attract the substantial private investment needed to make it happen. Those statements are among the key assertions of an 18-month, $1.3 million feasibility analysis scheduled for release Monday by the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency and Los Angeles-based Hyperloop Transportation Technologies. The report, led by TEMS, a consulting firm based in Frederick, Maryland, constitutes what the authors believe is the most extensive hyperloop feasibility analysis released publicly to date, anywhere, said NOACA Executive Director Grace Gallucci, who discussed some of the report’s core findings ahead of Monday. https://www.cleveland.com/news/2019/12/benefits-would-justify-298-billion-cost-of-cleveland-hyperloop-line-according-to-study-to-be-unveiled-monday.html

Ohio Home Rule
That sounds a lot more reasonable. In CA (at least in San Diego) the "ban" is really just a 10 cent charge per plastic bag. Anyhow, it's worked. You almost never see plastic bags blowing all over the place any more.

Fakewood lol.

Ohio Home Rule
Opponents of the legislation believe business owners at the community level should have the right to decide for themselves whether to implement a ban or a fee, though. Wait, I'm confused. This bill forbids private business owners from not using plastic bags? That cannot be possible.

Solutions for Homelessness
12.11.19 7:00 AM FUTURE OF PHILANTHROPY The world’s first 3D-printed neighborhood now has its first houses A giant 3D printer is currently squeezing out new homes in rural Mexico. Each one takes 24 hours and lets local families upgrade from a shack to a two-bedroom house. Could this be part of the global housing solution? https://www.fastcompany.com/90440406/the-worlds-first-3d-printed-neighborhood-now-has-its-first-houses

Geography
This guy took 5 whole years to hand-draw a map of North America. North America: Portrait of a Continent is drawn completely by hand with colour pencil and pen. It is a 5 x 4 feet (150 x 120 cm) perspective projection of the entire region, spanning from Alaska to Panama; Greenland to the Caribbean. There are tens of thousands of features, including 600 individual cities and towns. https://www.antonthomasart.com/the-north-american-continent.html

I really liked Phoenix Coffee in Ohio City and Loop Records in Tremont too. Hon. mention for the Rising Star in Hingetown, but outlets were scarce.

Cleveland: Outlet Mall Proposal for Lakefront
I'm curious as to how traffic flow is going to work. Malls typically have multiple access ways. This property - at least the way they plan to develop - is more akin to a highway rest stop. Here's hoping they do the right thing incorporate RTA into the equation.

Favorite Music At The Moment?
There are TONS of bands whose sole existence seems to be marketing toward commercial t.v. Can't say I blame them, you're not going to make much with online sales, radio airplay or touring.

Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
Well I think one problem may be that traffic is pretty dense so that drivers might not even see the red pavement. And large signs would probably look like an eyesore. But the current situation is lousy (vs. what was supposed to be) and something needs to be done.

Cleveland: Downtown: New Police Headquarters
^ Councilman Kerry McCormack urged police to design a building that’s a far cry from the appearance of the Justice Center. “How do we create a headquarters that screams to the public, ‘You’re welcome here, come on in,’?” McCormack said. “Really, a building that opens up to the community, versus the 70s Brutalism that has done the exact opposite.” Great point, Councilman.

Non-Ohio Transit News & Discussion
Wow, saving $84,000 in 10 years is pretty great. North Park Family Saves Big Using Mass Transit for a Decade By Ashley Matthews A North Park family spent a decade to answer the question: How much would you save if you swapped your car for mass transit? Cars and homes are generally our biggest expenses, and one family made it a point to only use one car, forgoing a second to bike or bus. John Anderson has biked to work every day for the past 10 years, and his wife either taken the bus or biked as well. Anderson is a certified public account, so he’s always tracking expenses and finding where he can save. His family estimated that it costs about $9,000 a year to own and maintain a car, based of numbers from the American Automobile Association. https://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/local/North-Park-Family-Saves-Big-Using-Mass-Transit-for-a-Decade-565336792.html

There is something deeply unsettling about watching buses going straight through while confused car drivers are boxed in & trying to figure out which lane to be in when approaching the Square.

Hyperloop
Wow, the comparison with Hyperloop is spot on: The objective of Sewer Shark is to travel all the way from the home base Chicago to Solar City Cleveland without crashing or running out of energy, and while maintaining a satisfactory level of performance as judged by Ghost and Commissioner Stenchler.
