  1. You strike me as the kind of person who would avoid a certain restaurant after 14 consecutive bouts of food poisoning. Meanwhile other fans will keep drinking that e-coli laced Kool Aid haha.
  2. ^ If the "Memorial Bridges Loop Trail" is what I am remembering correctly, it is a really cool idea.

Today the Browns Backer bar in my neighborhood had no Browns flags hanging outside and no Browns fans inside. Sad.
  4. https://neo-trans.blog/2024/11/15/downtown-riverfront-entertainment-complex-browns-berea-site-others-seek-tmuds/ Local real estate experts have speculated that the hotel will be a Shinola brand, with whom Bedrock has partnered in downtown Detroit. The redacted word in the application is about seven letters long. As someone who tries to make sense of redacted info on a daily basis, I salute this clever bit of detective work. ;-)
  5. At the very least they could share amenities.
  6. ^ I believe that most of the monuments, when adjacent to the coastline, are situated to be looking out over the water.

I believe DeWine will most likely appoint FirstEnergy to that senate seat. Corporations are people, my friend.

^ fyi Undocumented Immigrants' Payments Into Social Security Detailed in Report Published Jul 30, 2024 By Aliss Higham/US News Reporter Undocumented immigrants paid nearly $26 billion into Social Security coffers in a single year, a new report has found. New analysis by the Institute on Taxation and Economic Policy (ITEP) found that undocumented residents paid £25.7 billion into Social Security funds and $6 billion into Medicare in 2022; both programs that they are not entitled to use. In total, undocumented immigrants paid $96.7 billion, or roughly $9,000 per person, in taxes in 2022. Altogether, undocumented people paid a total of $96.7 billion in taxes in 2022, with $59.4 billion paid to the federal government and the remaining $37.3 billion paid to state and local authorities. In 40 states, undocumented immigrants were found to pay higher state and local tax rates than the top 1 percent of households living in the same state. https://www.newsweek.com/undocumented-immigrants-social-security-payments-report-1931990
  10. Oh hell, if that is true we might as well rename as North Mississippi.
  11. ^ I would love to walk past all those houses down those steep streets just to see what it was like. If those houses were still standing today would it be like Telegraph Hill in SF?

Cavs fans at the game showing class
  13. FWIW a few months ago I overheard some high level contractors discussing the stadium like it was a done deal. I also spent two hours eavesdropping on the former head of Downtown Cleveland Alliance…you have to subscribe for that however ;-)
  14. Nice. And to think, about 20 years ago you could've charged the City 200k for that :-)
  15. ^ “blame the politicians” is absolutely one their primary talking points. Its admittedly a pretty good tactic too, because “politicians” in this case is coded language for “Democrats.” Great way to sow division in favor of the largely suburban fanbase. Of course the most hilarious irony is Haslam & Company accusing someone else of being incompetent. Look in the mirror James.
  16. Everyone at that station has been parroting the same identical talking points. I am sure its a coincidence!
  17. When you see how poor he is in comparison to Kroenke, you understand why Tennessee Jimmy is so desperate for that parking revenue.
  18. maybe the city is banking on the fact the Haslem era Browns can’t win at anything. I kid.
  19. if one is to believe the Browns games generate $30M in revenue annually then its wise to pursue legal action.
  20. Here's a graphic I saw the other day on current USL rivalries. I think Cleveland slots in nicely vs. Pitt, Detroit and Louisville (Indy is probably headed to MLS but Buffalo appears poised to get a USL team)
  21. yes I think so. MLS Next is a developmental league and USL would be higher level pros with traditional inter-city rivalries.
  22. San Diego's NWSL team draws the same as the Columbus Crew. Anyhow there should be multiple teams using the stadium, like MLS Next. And Cleveland seems a really good bet to get a USL team.
  23. Okay, which one of you Urban Ohioan's is walking around Lakewood with a "CLOSE BURKE" t-shirt 😂
  24. Won't there eventually be new access points to the stadium area, like from along the river?
