Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
The employees at AG love the new place. Saying it's a drastic improvement over their moldy dump in Brooklyn is an understatement. Now as to whether the artists would rather be in a signature building downtown on the Jacobs lot? I don't know. But regardless of location the company has always been able to attract top talent. It's still a very lucrative and somewhat stable career for creatives.

Suburban Sprawl News & Discussion
Texafornia dreaming America’s future will be written in the two mega-states In the cable-news version of America, the president sits in the White House issuing commands that transform the nation. Life is not like that. In the real version of America many of the biggest political choices are made not in Washington but by the states—and by two of them in particular. Texas and California are the biggest, brashest, most important states in the union, each equally convinced that it is the future (see our Special report in this issue). For the past few decades they have been heading in opposite directions, creating an experiment that reveals whether America works better as a low-tax, low-regulation place in which government makes little provision for its citizens (Texas), or as a high-tax, highly regulated one in which it is the government’s role to tackle problems, such as climate change, that might ordinarily be considered the job of the federal government (California). Given the long-running political dysfunction in Washington, the results will determine what sort of country America becomes almost as much as the victor of the next presidential election will. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.economist.com/leaders/2019/06/20/texafornia-dreaming

Belle gave credit to Hargrove. Said that any time the team lost their focus, he would have them practicing early the next day. Ps don’t forget Eddie Murray, that guy was never in a good mood haha.- Cleveland Guardians Discussion
Right. Brantley was the consummate Indian. Not a superstar, but very very good and professional player. Crowded OF now. I'm guessing Puig is a rental and next years OF would be Zimmer/Mercado/????? What happens with Naquin?- Cleveland Guardians Discussion
Here's a breakdown of the epic Albert Belle interview that just happened on WKNR. Belle: "Puig sucks." Belle: "I like the guy, but I'd make Trevor Bauer run wind sprints from foul pole to foul pole during the game." Belle: "We only look good because lately we've been playing against a bunch of cripples." Belle: "You saw last night we can't hit a real pitcher." Belle: "I see Franmil Reyes on the Padres, striking out all the damn time." Belle: "Michael Brantley sure looks good with the Astros." Holy cow, this guy's still not pulling punches hahaha- Cleveland: Downtown: Realife skyscraper
They did use a good CLE pic for the homepage. I'll give them that. But they even managed to screw that up too lol. This lot will be a one-story hooka lounge, at best.- Just moved to Columbus, Ohio...need help adjusting

Noteworthy day. Today I was able to watch the Tribe at home on my TV for the first time in several years. The game was “televised” on YouTube. Was nice, but man I really miss living in CLE and seeing the Indians on Channel 43. Frustrating night. Could only muster one run vs. lousy Jays pitching. Bauer pitches great. Blown save in the 9th. Lost in the 10th on some dumb hits that never left the infield. Oh well. At least you could see the players were all very much emotionally invested. That was clear. Stat of the day: Tribes 50-3 when leading after the 8th inning this season. Crazy!- Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
That would make sense, or cents...hey oh!- East Cleveland: News & Discussion
I take it you're not talking about the homeless encampment, or the skate ramps lol.- Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News

They did tear down half of BFG though. I remember it took a long time to demo...those factories were built to last.- Lakewood: Development and News

To propose this garbage site plan after the "aspirational plan" released by Geiss was rather sadistic.- Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
I actually think this will greatly help out with the pedestrian flow down there. Right now the whole place is fairly schizophrenic.- Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
I think the key will be the commercial tenants. Will they be destination worthy? Or are they going to be "inward" and simply catering to the residents. If it's only the latter then this could very well be a quasi-gated community. And given the geographical limitations here at this penned in site I'm kind of okay with it.- Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport
But you have to admit that the Rock Hall and Science Center are not at all well integrated. They were constructed with no thoughts of connectivity. It's just really bad urban design. Agree with your point re: the stadium. The lack of connectivity and bad planning can be surely be remedied, but I'm skeptical it will happen.- Cleveland Burke Lakefront Airport
Have you seen the original Geis plan to develop the land adjacent to Burke? I'll look for it. Seeing those renderings made me believe that Burke could have a great deal more value to the city. Since those plans have all but disappeared I'm not so optimistic any more. Shoot, maybe the coolest thing about Burke was the Cleveland Grand Prix. Gone. Anyhow, after years and years of wishing and hoping (and sometimes even working) for a better, cohesive, first-class waterfront I've lost a great deal of energy for the subject. I'm glad there are still people, presumably younger, that are passionate. But the reality is that the transformational changes we all want to see will take decades. There's just been far too many years of neglect and damage to be undone.- Cleveland: Clark–Fulton / Stockyards: Development and News
Unfortunately the former forumer (say that 10x fast) is no longer associated with the Spang project. There apparently was a bad fire at some point...but he's glad that the building is in good hands.- Camping in Ohio!
I camped there maybe 15 years ago. It was really great. As soon as we put up the tent it stormed like crazy, which just added to the fun. It was warm out, so not a big deal. And 30 min. later all was calm again. The beach was very nice, but with the water level crisis I'm not sure it's still there. Middle Bass was good too. But we unknowingly scheduled during some sort of college drunk fest, so being stuck there at night gold old reap quick. It was way louder and more obnoxious than anything I'd experienced at South Bass.- Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
