My mom got to meet virtually everyone in that early rock era. Her favorite person out of all of those stars was Nat King Cole.

My neighbor in CA is from CLE. He just came over specifically to high five me lol.
  3. I just want to add that when Tower City Mall opened it was glorious.
  4. I agree with you. But maybe this is karma coming back at Giant Eagle.
  5. ^ I too, love the Voinovich view of the skyline. Looks like a new and forward looking city. Perspective experts: will these towers be visible from the lake?
  6. That is kind of awkward. The garage rooftop seems a good candidate for some use. A "green" roof at the very least.
  7. The residential balconies are a welcomed sight. So many buildings downtown just look like unwelcoming fortresses. I'll echo the demand for optimal street presence.

Stay calm my man! We need you to stay out of jail lol. When I was back in Ohio I met some friends for breakfast at the new Diner on Clifton. At THREE separate times I saw elderly women trying to walk across Clifton, which KJP as you know is like 22 lanes of speeding traffic. Nervewracking for me to watch, likely terrifying for them. These are people who obviously can no longer drive. And by my count there's a lot of elderly in the area, but they're not provided any safe way to cross the road. It's really ridiculous that's the best we can do for those folks.
  9. Great! Is this still the Rosales design?
  10. ^ That's a hot tub time machine.
  11. Hmm, the original "Tech Czar" in CLE is named Tim. Tim Moran. Coincidence? [edit: yes....it's purely a coincidence. Darn]

Very sad. By all accounts Perry was a really nice person. He was actually the goofy school mascot of Fredericktown H.S. The "Freddie Bird." https://www.mansfieldnewsjournal.com/story/news/2019/03/04/luke-perry-central-ohio-connections-mansfield-fredericktown/3057442002/
  13. From Glen Petranek’s FB Traveling around today finally decided to look inside what I call the "Jumanji House" on Euclid Ave in E Cleveland, almost across the street from Chapman. Doing research i discovered it has been forfeited and is now owned by the State. I also knew the back door was open. Unfortunately it is pretty trashed out. I did like the stairs however. Speaking of Chapman Ave, there are Do Not Enter signs on either end of the road and more boarding up. Expect it to be down before too long.....
  14. Migration can be a healthy thing. Most people aren't best-served by standing their ground in economically distressed neighborhoods.
  15. We have such little opportunity to remedy our waterfront. Anything other than a publicly welcoming space shouldn't be allowed. It's not like we don't have several hundred thousand acres available that aren't waterfront property.
  16. ^ Now that's intriguing analysis! But this plan seems the antithesis of the publicly accessible amenity that the Lakefront is supposed to become. [edit: spelling]
  17. I think you can still get the Lawson's chip dip at some Circle K's. "Roll on Big-O, get that juice up to Lawson's in 40 hours!" They play that old commercial when you listen to Cleveland sports talk 92.3 online.
  18. We have to stay away from the Lakewood FB pages. You would think more housing is bringing the Apocalypse! You cannot reason with people.
  19. Noooo! Too much traffic on Detroit Ave hahahhaha
  20. Sad. I have to wonder...if this bowling alley had been just a block or two closer to CSU would it still be in business?
  21. ^^Really? Maybe it’s my eyes but that looks really different to me. Anyhow it’s pretty cool ?
  22. Right lol. Even including Kent at all seems a but facetious.
  23. Cleveland now leads the nation in season ticket holders for touring Broadway shows. ^ I thought that was interesting. But yeah the brochure seems like an incomplete and rushed job. They leave out Crocker Park under the area retail section, but include Summit Mall?
