Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Hmmm, mysterious contacts at waste water treatment plant? Ken's journalistic chops is certainly partially built on wading into the $h!#. Nicely written article 😄

Nice photos @MayDay, as always! I'm confused in regards to function if the v-shape group of pilings here. Is this a staging area to store the pilings vertically or actual permanent location?

Cleveland Museum of Art: Exhibits, News, & Info
Looks great! I wonder if this pagoda/shrine can be appropriated at the end of the show and reconstructed in the Cultural Gardens to represent Japan? LOL.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
This playoff loss by the Cavs feels emotionally similar to the MLB strike in 1994-95 season when the Indians had one of their best lineups and the strike wiped out the season. I think @LibertyBlvd is right about this: The NBA post season has too many teams and games.

Hmmm, Downtown Cleveland is sinking in quicksand? 🤔

Man, those crane operators need to know that the soil stability underneath the cranes has been signed off properly by their geo guys/girls! There needs to be a lot of trust on their team.

Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
Great! Can I send my work PowerPoint slides to you for editing? @Enginerd PS, maybe it was prescient by the slide's original creator to move Buffalo into Canada - our presumptive future 51st state. And move the East coast cities inland so they don't get flooded out by sea rise. 😟

Hello All, it's obviously great to have gotten a big shiny skyscraper added to skyline, but is it now safe to comment again how mediocre and unsettling the design of the asymmetric crown appears. Plus, just how g'd awful the shack turned out. Maybe I'm over reacting since I live out of state and don't see the building in person very often. Gulp! Someone convince me otherwise. I'm hoping to be proven wrong. PS: maybe I'm just nervous about how the Browns will run their draft tonight and that anxiety spilled over into this post.- Oxford / Miami University: Development and News
@Htsguy like you, I have little standing in this argument having been away from Oxford for 40+ years. Gulp 😟! My guess is the other and worst locations were chosen on purpose because the fix was already in for Cook Field.- Oxford / Miami University: Development and News
I just can't imagine anyone affiliated with Miami U. over the past two centuries who would gaze on the open space of Cook Field and think what a great place to build a massive sports arena. Is there any public pushback to this announcement @mu2010 and @Htsguy?- Oxford / Miami University: Development and News
Hey @Htsguy, I'm coming around to the notion that it IS really all about you. I will need to adjust my future UHIO (Urban Heightsguy in Ohio) ramblings to run my drafts through you for approval. PS, Evidently we missed each other by one year. I spent my freshman year in Dennison in Fall 77 to Spring 78. 😉- Oxford / Miami University: Development and News
That seems like too many structures to try to stuff into a relatively small area. It's been 40+ years since I was a student there, but the open sports fields at the front door of the university help preserve the historical character of the original campus. Not sure why Miami needs to turn itself into a high density "urban" UPenn clone? Oh well, "Love and honor to Miami our college old and grand." - Cleveland Browns Discussion
