New Albany: Ohio One (Intel Semiconductor Facility)
DO_Summers replied to cbussoccer's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionI believe @jonoh81's point was that the trees are part of the bat's ecosystem to facilitate breeding. Similar to getting rid of the back seat of your Dad's Oldsmobile Delta 88.

The Future of America and Its Cities
Perhaps in 2026 the whole Colorado River Compact expires and gets renegotiated? My impression is that Las Vegas and other parts of NV receive a measly allotment of water because it wasn't really around in 1922 when the first compact between five states and Mexico was negotiated. Nevada's water share is substantially lower than that allotted for "desert" regions of CA such as the Imperial valley where a hefty percentage of our nation's food is grown. Anyway, none of this is new. Much of the arid Southwest USA, e.g. PHX, L A. relies on a large extent on water from the Colorado River, which of course begins in the Rocky Mountains west of Denver. It's not just a Las Vegas problem. It's a national problem which will have some tough political arguments to consider.

Photography Questions
Not an expert here, but perhaps one of the Sony mirrorless cameras (e.g. A7). Similar in performance to DSLR cameras, but considerably lighter and more compact. Now, I'll let the experts weight in! Cheers! D.O.

Cleveland Browns Discussion
It's behind a paywall, but J. Lloyd writing in The Athletic is reporting a bit of an opposite response from other teams in that the contract offer from Cleveland wasn't shopped for other teams to beat. So, none of us are certain. Probably should remove "everyone" and "confirm" in your statement. 😉

@GCrites80s🙄 Whose looking at the rafters in a porno movie, except perhaps the participants?

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Ok @KJP, that clearly seems to show a pattern 🥺 by Brown. Do we / will we ever know if the Watson contract has legal fence posts built into it if his poor behavior continues/ escalates?

Cleveland Browns Discussion
I don't know the details, but weren't the Jim Brown allegations of violence against women after his NFL career ended?

Cleveland: Ohio City: Irishtown Bend Park
@freethink Are those meant to depict tree roots? I can't quite grasp this rendering.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Man, i know it's an created Google maps 3D image, but that's one frugly looking building. Maybe in real life it appears nicer.

Nice looking glass @KJP, Ken. Or is the mock up here not really indicative of the actual glass to be installed?

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Beautiful space! I'm thinking of volunteering for one of those performance art pieces and move into a glass walled living space on the main floor for the next four weeks. (Bathroom hidden behind a discrete planter, of course).

Ohio Intercity Rail (3C+D Line, etc)
Going to need the 3-C corridor up and running to carry all of those commuters into C-bus each day for all of the new Intel and Intel spin-off jobs. OK... I admit a lame attempt at humor, but there is a bit of wishful thinking that our political leaders are willing to greatly up Ohio's game here.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Meanwhile, we are lucky we got the new inner harbor bridge built to enjoy while we wait. 🙄

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Thank you, @osu4brutus03. I had imagined that there was going to be a steady stream of events at Tower City and other locations around town. Except for this pop up BB court and the public hall event, there isn't much happening outside of RMFH.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
I don't currently live in Cleveland, so excuse my ignorance. Is there a schedule published for NBA All-star events at locations such as Tower City?

New Albany: Ohio One (Intel Semiconductor Facility)
DO_Summers replied to cbussoccer's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionI heard from a reliable source that Gelsinger (Intel CEO) has been lurking on UO site for the past year to, you know, gauge the level of community interest ... Give yourself a round of applause UOhioans. 😉

Cleveland: General Business & Economic News
Well, with quantum computing your proximty doesn't even have to be in the same galaxy to carry information.... Spooky interaction between entangled particles...and all that (or so I'm told 😉)

Cleveland: Random Visualizations & Massings
Hi @Ethan, I respect your feelings and perspective on this. Energy balances are always tricky things. One could argue that collectively the servers and computer devices necessary to run this website are far from negligible in power consumption. LED lightening is comparatively efficient to running a server farm with all of the built-in redundancies. Perhaps, the colored lighting would not add as much light pollution or harm to the native animals and insects as incandescent or sodium vapor lighting. Also, the joy of seeing a beautiful outline of a few bridges may add to the populaces collective mental health. #silverlingings. 😊

Cleveland: Mayor Justin Bibb
I may have a fuzzy memory, but I thought you told the board that you planned to move to North Carolina if Bibb was elected? 🙄

Thanks for sharing, BB. We are so fortunate to enjoy this magnificent space. Shudder to think how many other historic buildings were lost to the bulldozer of modernity. Happy Holidays.

Cleveland: Population Trends
Its definitely not the a simple two-way juxtaposition as you might imagine @Mov2Ohio. Because of its high elevation, the night time temperatures in the summer months are quite pleasant. All I meant was climate differences - not a quality of life comparison.
