  1. Hi @PoshSteve No doubting your veracity... but I wonder a lot how is it even possible to adjust to the NE Ohio climate if one moves from a high desert Southwest city such as Tucson? My guess is that either you need to be a one tough cookie or have a family connection here to do so. Hopefully, she is still feeling positive in the middle of February.🤒
  2. I don't see any "World class" signage in these photos. (Did i use the term correctly as a newcomer?) 😉

I can see you didn't need much prompting! Color palette is super nice. I guess that could be a function of the extra light sensitivity. Thanks a bunch & keep 'em coming, @MyPhoneDead .

Very impressive photos from the Pixel 3 XL. I'll look forward to whenever you can try out the camera on your 6 Pro. BTW. How does it work to make phone calls? 🥁

Nice pics! Which model phone @MyPhoneDead? Hopefully, not the former one! 🙃
  6. @HtsguyCan you reshare this specific rendering view here? I've forgotten where all of the latest documentation can be found. THX!
  7. Prep yourself for when the rare Cleveland Square burrowing horned toad is discovered during the digging and the whole project gets shutdown.
  8. Wow! I'll take Haslam's Lakefront for $500, Alex.
  9. Yeech... Sheez Louise!
  10. This one^ (directly above). Pretty nice looking square. What happened? 😉

Disagree with this sentiment. How does this way of thinking help in a democratic vote? Maybe your comments fit right in the spirit of a free wheeling political debate, but to me it seems a bit over the top without any real concrete examples supporting your position.
  12. Cassata Cake…… :). @MuRrAy HiLLNow, I'm hungry. Wish I had gotten to bed without watching this vid. The pizza didn't raise any desire, but that cake....Oh my, yum!
  13. I'm going to help get you off the hook, Ken. Your earlier description left out a key word that should add some necessary perspective. We should all be happy we won't be invited inside! Anyway, I too will wait to see how the proposed fountain and building design for the pavilion fall into place. Exciting times for downtown. Thanks @KJPfor keeping us so well informed. D.O.
  14. The article I read was not at all as you both described. Its a well written, balanced article that tried to extract lessons learned in Cincy that could be relevant to similar projects in Cleveland. Go back and re-read it and see if you still disagree. 😉
  15. @KJP What's your interpretation for what this means for expanding Amtrak service and routes within Ohio? I wasn't able to parse much detail out of their summary. Thanks!
  16. Exquisite @MayDay! Remind us what camera are you shooting with?
  17. But of course... there's some sort of weird conservation of surface parking space natural law in effect in downtown Cleveland. Its apparently immutable. 🤨
  18. To be fair, the article did touch upon some of the points that the last few posters commented on, i.e., similar rates of job growth in both cities over the last decade. Yet, GDP growth for Pittsburgh is much higher due to the proximity to fracking industry. See for example, two few screen shots from the cle.com article below. All in all, I felt that i learned valuable information from the article. Didn't seem like a hack job, but i no longer live in Ohio, so maybe I don't carry the same sensitivities to how news is presented locally. Anyway, all good.
  19. I thought the cle.com article was a fair and balanced reporting of a thoughtful, well researched report by the Cleveland State faculty member, Richey Piiparinen. This is exactly the type of reporting that the UO community strives to discover with its both positive and negative news presented therein. Economic statistics are certainly a tricky business, but the overall GDP growth numbers presented for both cities seem pretty sound. Maybe we are a bit overly critical? D.O
  20. Also, this: Sure invokes: (PS: hope it changes, but perhaps it was intentional) Uhmmm, copycats!
  21. The Corning Museum of Glass is a super nice tourist attraction & highly recommended. Their art glass collections are "art museum" worthy. Plus, the technology stuff based on their own products such as the invention of optical fiber is wonderful. https://home.cmog.org/
  22. Plus, I went back and rewatched the portion of the feed where Mr. Heisey answered questions on the tunnel option. The company wants to use the pavilion as a grand front door. They want to bring in guests into the main tower through the pavilion without having them descend into a tunnel. Personally, i would just locate the whole center in the base of the tower and do some especially nice landscaping on the Jacobs lot. Maybe the pavillion gets redesigned now with roof top terrace and everything that could make it special. Big ?.
  23. Nicely written, well balanced article, Sir! @KJP
  24. I no longer live in Cleveland, but someone assure me that the pavement on the Main Ave. bridge really isn't as buckled as it appears in this photo. 👀 + OMG, that can't be a real guardrail, can it? Otherwise, my - hopefully humorous - comments overheard by a fly on the wall in the SW executive suite this afternoon: "We don't need any stinking drunks falling off of the roof of our Learning Pavilion." "Quick, someone tell me how many new resumes have come into HR this afternoon?" "Good one on the utilities below W. 3rd St. That 150 year old sewer line is going to be impossible to tunnel around." All in good nature. No real offense meant.
