  1. Vice Principal KJP re-visits the classroom to put an end to our hijinks. ☺️
  2. Thanks for sharing @MayDay this great eclectic mix of images. Soon you will need to publish a coffee table book (is that still a thing?) on hidden gems of NE Ohio. And when does the new "require a minimum of one pastel color" building code get implemented? Cheers!
  3. Thanks for sharing video @Cleburger, but surprised there wasn't more explanation or camera views up towards the flags and skyward. Clearly, there isn't much space on that platform for filming. Maybe the videographer was scared out of his wits and he forgot to narrate. 😬
  4. Hi @Ethan Was there ever consideration years earlier for placing a huge skylight or sun tunnel down the center of the Mall? The open grassy area isn't all that inviting as is. Thx for your comments above. D.O.
  5. How are flags changed out on the TT Flagpole? Obviously off topic.... but i was uncertain where best to put this question. Is there magic involved? πŸ€”
  6. Jeebus, all Cleveland needed to attract wealthy former Murdock family members to town was for SW to build a new hdqrts? Should have done it much sooner. D.O.
  7. That sledding hill πŸ›·is going to keep parents busy fishing their children out of the river when they go over the bulkhead.
  8. Thanks, Ken, for keeping up the good fight. Great article (& I know you could write these in your sleep). Hope this proposal doesn't remain a dream. DO.
  9. Nope. Its driving readership this site. Someone else must be making too much money 🀨
  10. Thanks, Ken. I thought I had remembered further additions to the eastern edge of Burke in the late 20th century. But i no longer live in Ohio, so i might be mis-remebering.
  11. Im not sure each of these geographic locations would be similar in terms of industrial pollutants @BoomerangCleRes. Does anyone have a map that shows the present Burke and the time period that various sections were constructed? Unfortunately, dredgings from the Cuyahoga river and Cleveland harbor in the past were seriously polluted because of the nature of its industrial history. I think its likely that someone over the years has sampled the ground beneath Burke. Am I remembering correctly? @KJP and others? Still. Encouraging rumors and sitting a stadium as the seed for other development is a different strategy.
  12. @GISguy Holy Siegel and Shuster! This is an absolutely fantastic compilation. Congrats! You have set a incredible high bar.
  13. Jeremy: "I know Brisbane, AUS. I worked with Brisbane, AUS and believe me Cleveland, you are no Brisbane, AUS." Sweet pictures and congrats on your trip.

  15. It all comes down to whether or not LeBron wants to keep the stack there or not. Ok, ok, maybe this joke has lost it's legs.
  16. OMG, if any of this shoreline development comes to fruition, I would think that UO will be a premium internet destination for years to come. Think of all the future construction cams to watch, photo montages from @MayDay to pour over, debates about what elevation changes the landbridge should incorporate and why the roof of the RH expansion needs to be turned into a meditation garden.
  17. Now that's a view we haven't seen yet @Sapper Daddy. Definitely looking majestic and slim πŸ˜‰
  18. Love the pics - especially the first. Great views! My only comment is that by counting the number of chairs above in the tent, methinks it wasn't an overly crowded event 😏 Did they serve tap or bottled?
  19. Yeah, Lake View Cemetery in Cleveland is a good example. Presumably it was a destination for family picnics and strolls way back. But, they don't allow joggers. (At least they didn't back in the 1980's. I was stopped by security and asked to leave while jogging when I was a student at Case.)
  20. DO_Summers replied to KJP's post in a topic in City Photos - Ohio
@MayDay Sweet pics, but OH NO! Some competitor will see these and try to hire you away from UO. The Board should step in to pre-empt what could be a nasty bidding war. 🀞
  21. That's a perfect fit, @marty15. It does feel like all of the oxygen is being sucked out of the air down there, especially on game days. 😬
  22. @KJP Reminded me of this famous Italian town that tried the "wooden poles driven into muck trick" - albeit without the sports stadium on top. πŸ˜‰ https://venicewiki.org/wiki/Fondazioni_degli_edifici_veneziani
  23. Sure, we can outsource NE Ohio conventions to here: https://www.cpsports.com/events/conventions-trade-shows#:~:text=Cedar Point Sports Center is,square feet of open space.
  24. Its a parody. McDonald's is too easy of a target.
