  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZSGlosxhoY Throwing some shade on Lakewood Park. 😎 Video of the crowd reaction by families gathered in the park around totality.
  2. Wow, what's all this bashing of the Guardians, on Opening Day no less?! Please return to our regularly scheduled vitriol towards the Browns 😉
  3. Just added some minor edits that sheds a little more light on the Cav's motivation.
  4. Weird lot.... what are the implications of cutting off access to these roll up doors on the neighboring building? 200k my lord.
  5. Bumping up this comment. I imagine the answer to my question above is not yet, but also I was interested in hearing if SW is applying antireflective window treatments to the lower floors to reduce bird strikes?
  6. Ok, upfront this is a Browns "future" stadium in Brook Park joke. It's not especially well thought out, so it could bomb (which shouldn't come as a surprise to Brown's fans). And, I am censoring the other parties name because I am super thrilled to the commitment they are making in locating a major new facility in Brook Park and don't want any inadvertent Google searches tying their name to the Browns. Purple Chasm finalizes their land purchase to construct an 'extreme environment' test facility where humans will be subjected and need to endure some of the highest levels of stress and discomfort that humans are reasonably thought to be able to survive. Right here in ol' suburban Brook Park. Jimmy Haslam: "Hold my Beer!"
  7. I always do a double take, e.g. "...all Ohio Future Fund to support new development projects By Ken Prendergast..." when I see these leads in the site main feed. Maybe in the near future he can launch a development company and the capital "(B)y" becomes lower case.
  8. No doubt. That's why I was surprised the County originally wanted to build their new jail on the old Standard Oil site.
  9. It's as good time as any to pull out this story again. When I was a student at Case I would sometimes hike around the lakefront north east of Gordon park and sneak through fences when they were in the early stages of filling in the lake to create the Lakefront Nature Preserve using dredging's from the Cleveland harbor and the Cuyahoga. A few times, I would be gasping at the high level of solvents and other hazardous chemicals emanating into the air. (Hello SW ?!). I never quite figured out how it could later safely be cleared to become a nature preserve. I guess they capped everything with many feet of clean fill. Still, it remains an etched memory of just how highly polluted the sediment was.
  10. Let me guess, they are painting a baby otter from the Metroparks Zoo on the tail of one of their planes?
  11. Man, oh, man! @MayDayand the mirrorless going all Andy Reid - Patrick Mahomes on us. Fantastic clarity.
  12. Also, well said @ArtMasterCLE Hopefully those include fog lights, evidently. 🥁 In a serious vein, have the architects released any information on lighting precautions during bird migrations?
  13. Jeebus, PD. Why would we all want to be kept informed of breaking news by a blog of "dubious" history? "If not us, then who?" - John Lewis Badge of honor to @KJP
  14. Wow! Lots of passion. I myself am going head over to OpenAI to ask ChatGPT what it thinks will happen next. Oh, but first hit that bar on Grayton Rd where @mrnyc's brother and friends hang out.
  15. I think it can work and feel like it is a great site for a dozen or so games per year. Why is this option so terrible for downtown hotels? Is it possible that an out-of-town fan stays downtown and just hops on the Rapid to visit stadium on gameday? Just in a reverse direction to what they might do today? Heck the hotels will clean up on express luggage service charges to the airport. (PS: I really, really dislike the present stadium site, so my bias is showing)
  16. Great, two eclipses in one day - the Solar one and then the one involving Guardians swinging bats. Unjinx!
  17. Autonomous driving trucks supplying fresh deliveries to the West Side Market on the hour. One can dream big@mrnyc, right? It's in our DNA!
  18. Fantastic article/opinion piece. Ken. Well researched and written. 🏆
  19. @ArtMasterCLEstaring down high speed RTA buses to get the perfect shots for us out-of-towners.
  20. @KJPHi Ken, Does this stage look better in person? Based on the photos I'm getting vibes of this other Cleveland lakefront landmark.
  21. Hey Baltimore, do I have a deal for you! Just send us a dozen bushels of crabs and we will share all our secrets.
