  1. It's a bit unexpected to continue to read articles and opinion pieces about Cleveland's downtown development successes. Hopefully, the Bibb administration, et. al. can actually deliver. 🤞🏽 https://www.marylandmatters.org/2024/01/27/commentary-baltimore-could-learn-a-few-lessons-on-redevelopment-from-cleveland/
  2. Can someone post a rendering or photo of the statues for those of us who are not Crain's subscribers? Thank you.
  3. Just sharing another viewpoint. I too very much enjoyed the beautiful videos of the cityscape that were released. But my guess is if the videographers had casually released only one or two photographs or screenshots, SW would have let it slide with a typical request to stop. I actually understand why SW would not want unauthorized videos released from their HDQRTs construction sites including the more boring one in Brecksville. I realize our board is pointing to an ongoing pattern of behaviors by SW and sharing our attempts of constructive criticism to a large corporation. But, I'm not sure we can criticize their ask to remove the videos here especially if it hypothetically discloses a workplace safety violation. They are ok with the various drone footage we've watched or did they crack down on these videos too? Cheers! Carry on.
  4. Ah, I see how it may work. "Hey, Ken can you ride up the construction elevator and meet us on the 36th floor. We want you to be the first one to see how we will be adding 16 additional floors to our HQ1 build. Feel free to bring your buddy, but no recording devices. "
  5. Hey @cadmen I'm surprised you didn't know about the special access privileges at SW for UO members. I phone first to tell them I am friends of Ken and they typically meet me out in the back parking lot. Big time savings for sure, but, hmmmm, now I wonder why they didn't chit chat much.....
  6. Maybe too much glass @chrino21?! Just maybe this site could be used to recreate our beloved Brutalist JC? Ok, my apologies to the entire board, but now that I see it, it actually looks better than I expected. How about that magic 🤔 !
  7. We already discussed this USDA grant program for urban forestry back in September and the missed opportunity for the Big 3C in Ohio. Not sure if there are similar funds to be released in 2024. https://www.fs.usda.gov/managing-land/urban-forests/ucf/2023-grant-funding
  8. The darkest purple color throws me off @dave2017. Am I seeing the final color correctly on my smartphone screen? IMO its a bit dreary and absorbs all the other surrounding colors.
  9. Ok, never mind, I just looked at rendering. I think i answered my own question. The external columns are not part of the steel structure on the two short sides of the building.
  10. @Silent Matt, I never understood why the architects didn't include posts on the adjacent sides of these cutouts. Maybe @ArtMasterCLEor other design devotees here can weigh in with their opinions. Thx!
  11. @KJP Asking for a friend. If the owners sold the office tower at such a steep discount but kept the supposedly more lucrative parking garage, why are they even real estate investors to begin with? Seems like there is a bit of a long play here they missed. Strange stuff.

Nice! @gildoneDid you catch his dig about Philadelphia shortly before the 38 min mark. Maybe that all that surprising to me since I live in Philly region.
  13. @mrnyc - Wonderful pics and unexpected fun!! Can we finally put to rest the sentiment that Cleveland has bad weather in the months of December thru April?
  14. A little OT, but the interior shots of a holiday festive Tower City during the broadcast sure looked purty! 🎄
  15. Granted these were staged publicity photos from the construction of Rockefeller Center in 1932, but (safety) times sure have changed....!
  16. What's with the black & white interior walls and cabinets? It looks too sterile for a 2+M home.
  17. impending RIF? Maybe @bwheatsjust did the employee a big solid.
  18. Of course, @MayDay, it's better than the alternative where he actually stops and suggests you step out to get a better shot 😅! [PS: I will delete this if you ask!]
  19. @BoomerangCleResYou can sell tickets to view the next solar eclipse from inside your apartment.
  20. @acdThe renditions don't give justice as to how tiny the space is. Its really an old practice gym with limited seat capacity.
  21. @KJP closing strong with a bit of biblical literary razzle dazzle ... "Hook that Leviathan." Furthermore, we all will need the patience of Job to see this one through. Fingers crossed.
  22. @urb-a-saurus, Quick! trade mark this idea for the blank wall of the Standard Bldg.
  23. Ha! @dwolfi01 Libraries seem to be moving away from putting printed books in their buildings nowadays. But if you add up all of the stories available from the keyboards, now we are approaching Everest territory!
