  1. Ken, looks quite beautiful even with a 10 events per year stagnadium occupying most of the porch. P.S. Can't tell on my phone if this is our own North coast elephant seal colony. Imported from the west coast.
  2. I think i know the answer, but why call it a Homeland Security terminal? How is this different than customs and passport control at the airport? Maybe Homeland Security will be funding its construction? Then, I'm of course in favor of naming it whatever they want πŸ™‚!
  3. Two bags of 🍿🍿 recommended.
  4. Ha! Years ago as a Case student, my roommates and I rented the three bedroom apartment above the lobby. My bedroom was directly above the snack bar and the floor boards had gaps, so mostly my room smelled like buttered popcorn when the theatre was open. Does this sound like a made up story?
  5. Leaked rendering of C. Cliff's new world headquarters building. Lots of panache! Source: Craiyon
  6. Follow the rainbow to a leftover pot of Glitzy Gold (SW #6691) paint.
  7. There is no such thing of UO oversaturation of @MayDay'MayDay's pics with the mirrorless.

Congrats to Youngstown, Toledo.. etc. . for obtaining fairly large grants for urban forestry . Check out the $9M and $12M to Pittsburgh and Philly, respectively. What's up with the powers to be in our Ohio big three? Sheez. https://www.fs.usda.gov/news/releases/usda-invests-1-billion-nearly-400-projects-expand-access-trees-and-green-spaces
  9. @MayDay, Not sure what "generative AI" means but it seems like it made subtle changes to the Soldiers' & Sailors' monument to reflect that the South won and added another floor to the "shack." πŸ˜‡ Sorry just being silly, but always have been impressed with the quality of your photos whether assisted by artificial means or while sober!

Behind the NY Times paywall, but an impressive article with great animated graphics if you are a subscriber. https://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2023/09/18/world/asia/singapore-heat.html
  11. I understand its an admin building for a jail complex so its not meant to project beauty, but that's one fugly looking uninspiring green glass blob.
  12. A little more detail with some new renderings in this new article here. https://archinect.com/news/article/150371439/pau-begins-rock-roll-hall-of-fame-expansion-in-cleveland The granite color does continue to look dark. Maybe the contrast to the original hall color motif will work well in person. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
  13. Will there be one more crane jump? If not, how would they lift the materials to the final height points?
  14. Must not comment on it took World Traveling Mummies to activate corner in our downtown Must not respond, must not......oh, darn. Too late!

No. Football stadium. I know. I know. Its a common site on the shores of Lake Erie.
  16. Wait, I read in another thread that we were to believe that SF had turned into a post apocalypse hellscape.
  17. Ken, Hopefully you can relax in the future park with a higher appreciation of the obstacles overcome to bring it to fruition, including now this one. So glad it wasn't worse.
  18. Ken, I would pay a few hundred bucks to take a few sledge hammer swings when they finally decide to demolish it - a la the old county fair junk car fund raiser events.
  19. @LlamaLawyer I know that outrageous speculation is built into our collective DNA here at UO, but Good Lord, dear Sir, you are entering "AI hallucination" territory! πŸ€— Could it be as simple he visited Ciffs to try to lock down price of electrical steel for Tesla motors? Just fooling ...no harm, no foul!
  20. @EthanThe aquamarine water in the shallows of the cove and the bay is a neat trick. Maybe they got one of our local industries to promise a 50 year supply of dye. (Just kidding)
  21. Anyone have any news/insight here?
