Downtown Detroit in Danger of Demolition
Cass Tech, along with 13 other schools are supposed to be demolished next month :( Cass Tech is downtown which is why I posted in this thread. But when I go to photograph the other schools I will put it in my thread for Detroit demolition. http://www.detnews.com/article/20091208/SCHOOLS/912080344/1409/METRO/Historic-Cass-Tech-faces-demolition-crew

Downtown Detroit in Danger of Demolition
This obviously isn't located downtown but since there is already some discussion on the Michigan Central Station I thought I would post these here. There was a few articles in today's Detroit Free Press about how Nashville and Kansas City both had abandoned train stations and how they revived them. http://www.freep.com/article/20091129/NEWS01/911290415/1322/How-2-cities-revived-train-stations

Flint, MI
I decided to use this thread like I do my huge Detroit one. This way I'm not making a new thread for a smaller collection of pictures. Recently I did some urbex in Flint, this is a historic school. I always know history on these places and names but I don't like to give them out on public forums. Some downtown pictures coming soon....

Cleveland Innerbelt takings: What we stand to lose (photo essay)
http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2009/11/the_ohio_department_of_transpo.html I was hoping someone could post or take pictures of the buildings in jeopardy here. As said in the article... *81-year-old trapezoidal-shaped Marathon gas station. *Cleveland Cold Storage Building on West 14th St, built in 1927. *Broadway Mills Building, built in 1894. ODOT plans to save brickwork and the large medallions from the building and use them in nearby retaining walls. *Non descript commercial structures

Detroit- abandoned Rivertown
^Yup, Detroit peaked at 1.85 million in the 50s. In the 2000 census, they had 951,000. It is estimated that they have lost 129,000 people since then.
