Rensselaer, IN
Rensselaer (pop. 6,000) is the county seat of Jasper County. It is home to Saint Joseph's College of Indiana (no pics sry) My apologies for the poor quality of these pictures. As you can tell I couldn't get enough of that courthouse.

Danville, IL
Danville (pop. 34,000) is the county seat of Vermilion County. It’s population peaked in 1970 at 42,570. It was a pretty depressing city to visit, lots of gaps downtown. Some youtube videos worth checking out:

Kentland, IN

Romeo, MI
Thought I would throw in some history for anyone that's interested. This is Grays Block, built in 1869. It use to be an opera house, one of the most famous speakers to appear here was Ulysses S. Grant's Vice President Schuyler Colfax, in 1870. It has survived 5 fires, which happend between 1876 and 1941.

Romeo, MI
Romeo is a village of about 3,721 in Macomb County. Kid Rock is from here. Looks like Romeo cares a lot about its history. It has 2 museums and most of its old houses and downtown buildings have plaques like this.

Toledo- Westmoreland
Westmoreland was made to house Toledo's upper class as they moved away from the Old West End. I didn't cover the entire neighborhood, only about half I believe.

Mt. Clemens train depot
Mt. Clemens wants to create a historic district around the depot, by establishing the district the city will be able to preserve the depot as a historic site and seek government funding to pay for improvements and upkeep. In 1862 Thomas Edison saved the life of the station agents 3 year old son. http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20080827/METRO03/808270394/1416/METRO07
