The one on the west side of downtown you refer to is Captiol Park. The changes they made to it recently are great. The buildings around it have so much potential.

I have been to several of Detroit's historic cemeteries but never seen one as vandalized as Woodmere. Many mausoleums had boards on them, stained glass missing or even doors wide open. List of notables buried there. http://www.woodmerecemeteryresearch.com/noteables.htm

Detroit: Demolition Watch
Work has begun at Cass Tech, bricks were taken of the facade to be salvaged. I've seen trucks in the back loading up computers and other equipment. Now a large fence is being put around it. :( Pictures coming later.

I was in Jonesville recently, my second time ever being there and I noticed a part of downtown at a street corner where I remembered there being some old buildings. I was wondering if they were just demolished or what but that must be where the fire was. Can you tell me anything about the fire in Jonesville?
