this sounds too good to be true? What’s your source? Not doubting you, just curious about who you work for?

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
Im curious why the port authority want to demo this building? It doesn’t appear to be in bad shape? You would think it would be cheaper to convert that existing building into affordable housing then completely demo and build from scratch.

expansion? Legit rumor? I always thought that a small e sports arena could be built. Not sure how betting laws work with video game tournaments like that but it would be very interesting.

What would be cool is if they used the land in between and created a mixed use Mall aka liberty center.

Im guessing they probably want it to be on the casino property…that makes the most sense. But I would love for a hotel to go across the street instead. I hate that eyesore of a parking lot.

That makes sense I imagine that finding a partner hotel doesn’t bring in the same amount of revenue as a hotel directly connected to the casino. Especially if you want your customers to drink, then a partner hotel doesn’t really make much sense revenue wise.

How many hotels does downtown Cincinnati have at this point and how many does it still need? I know there is still the elusive convention hotel which will probably have the most rooms once that gets going. Then there is the boutique otr hotel going on central parkway. Then finally the Hard Rock Hotel. Just curious if we are reaching saturation point with hotels yet. Or if there is even any way of knowing?

The reality is that the church needs 500k ASAP because they don’t want to wait until September for any potential disaster to occur. I get why they made the decision they made. The preservation groups helping the church are willing to fight for the funds until the tower is officially brought down. In the mean time, if anyone here on Urban Ohio has any connections to any wealthy individuals who can donate that would be great! The preservation groups are also willing to take the 500k as a loan until the city hall - 500k funds clear in September. If you have any leads then email: [email protected] Or if you know Danny Klingler from OTR adopt personally, then reach out to him, as he is the one that is leading this preservation efforts and fighting for the funds for this bell tower.

The plan is to get a 500k dollar loan to bridge the gap in the mean time between now and when city council disperses the funds. Fingers crossed they can get that loan.

I think until there are more businesses on court street than these events will be largely ignored. I know 3cdc signed 4eg newest bar, but there are still so many now leasing signs all over court street.

Last chance to email city council expressing your support to allocate money to save the first Lutheran church bell tower. The budget hearing later today (Wednesday) which has 1 million dollars potentially allocated for the first Lutheran church bell tower will be voted upon Wednesday afternoon. https://www.instagram.com/p/CQYWGQXh0Bd/?utm_medium=copy_link

I believe they currently only have stores in NYC, Boston and Las Vegas. So Cincinnati will be their first in the Midwest. The majority of their locations are in Europe.

How many employees can these buildings even fit? Seems like not a lot... did they let go of employees?

The Wilkomen projects from Model and 3cdc have been killing it with their design infill. All of them have that nice brick facade with their scattered infill projects. I really hope this is the new trend for 3cdc and we will see this type of infill quality from now on.

So what’s to become of the original pure romance building? Would love to see that converted to residential and become an apartment tower.

Cincinnati: Downtown: Court Street Developments and News
I really love court street architecture. I can’t wait for 3cdc to fill up the vacant store fronts and really create a new level of constant foot traffic. I really hope in the near future the rest of court street can be rehabbed besides these initial blocks. With proper infill and preservation this street, fully revitalized, can be such a gem for this city.

Visit Kenwood mall and see for yourself. It will be located by the previous pop up store location and that previous jewelry store that was location next to the Louis store. It says in big letters, “Rolex” opening holiday 2021. From the other words next to it appears to be an official first party distributor and not a third party distributor that you see a lot in various cities.

This year has been really rough with violence in otr and Cincinnati in general. Just sucks for families out enjoying their afternoon and have to witness violence like this. At some point you have to wonder how these criminals can be so dumb to commit crimes in south of liberty where there are surveillance cameras on every street corner.
