  1. Are there any renderings available?
  2. Who owns that lot? Was there anything ever approved?
  3. Does anyone know what is up Sycamore and Liberty? The whole area is fenced off and looks like site work is being prepped. I don’t remember anything be approved for this site yet?
  4. The Oakley Kroger is starting to age. I don’t shop there often but I did today and I couldn’t help but noticed how it’s starting to slip among its peer Kroger’s. The store uses to feel way more well kept and the food court concept in that Kroger is largely dead. It hasn’t been that long but the store needs a refresh IMO. It just feels like it’s lagging. I also feel really thrown back by the security gates when you walk in and the security tower monitor in the parking lot. No other Kroger has that from what I’ve encountered (the security gates that is).
  5. I read Panera bread isn’t doing so hot business wise in general…I guess people got tired for paying for overpriced hospital food.
  6. right? You would think this would better fit with Findlay market…Hopefully they do well! There margins must be crazy good! Selling artificially flavored popcorn for a tin that goes up to $45 dollars must make them serious bank.
  7. Im extremely curious what their Main Street bar will be themed to. If this is the bar they are setting than I’m very excited to see their next otr project!
  8. I still can’t get over the progress with Somerset. https://instagram.com/somerset.otr?utm_medium=copy_link This level of high attention to detail in a bar is normally something you would in Chicago, NYC, Miami, LA, etc. Definitely raising the bar right here in Cincinnati and hopefully future bar operators in otr and Cincinnati will follow suit with this kind of passion to atmosphere and details.
  9. Main Street is starting to fill in more and more. Keyer row by 3cdc will fill in the current vacant block of buildings by saint mary church which should be really helpful in activating that block. That only really leaves the Davis furniture block. Hopefully something is decided one day in the near future on what to do with that lot and those deprived buildings. Otherwise I’m happy with the progress that Main Street is making!
  10. Al’s Delicious Popcorn will take the current vacant space next to wodka bar and macoron. The space was for lease by Urban Sites and I believe this almost completes that block with tenants. Al’s is a very popular popcorn shop in Columbus with 2 locations that have been operated since 1985. They have unique flavors like dill pickle and kfc fried chicken popcorn flavors. This will be there 3rd location and their first in Cincinnati.
  11. https://www.wcpo.com/news/local-news/hamilton-county/cincinnati/as-the-millennium-hotel-comes-down-some-are-looking-to-the-future I have good hopes this will get built sooner rather than later. I have an inkling that 3cdc will probably be involved and get this project off the ground next year when demo is complete.
  12. maybe the underground transits terminal at the banks?
  13. https://www.columbusunderground.com/cota-to-buy-greyhound-station-mixed-use-development-planned-bw1/?fbclid=IwAR2zl9LanQpY3gpkvtobwJq0saj5zCH_V5qxlbXHFpjfgoV1ny2Rgu-VtEk Columbus transit authority buys Columbus grey hound station for mixed use development…it would be nice if Hard Rock or someone buys the current for sale grey hound station and creates something worthwhile there as well.
  14. I think there definitely is a great positive momentum going! What is up with elm and Liberty though? When will they finally break ground? Feel like that is taking forever…
  15. https://www.bizjournals.com/cincinnati/news/2021/07/21/gelato-shop-opening-in-over-the-rhine.html uGo gelato at 1733 elm street. Wouldn’t normally be a big deal but this appears to be a chain with locations in DC and Miami.
  16. Oh nice! Love your place! Capacity issues are already a challenge in itself with otr small square footage buildings so I can see why you would that extra space with the street eateries. They really do make a difference for adding extra capacity and I’m sure that helps revenue as well. Best of luck!
  17. Well I’m glad to hear it’s in the works regardless..I’m sure even in the winter it will be helpful to have that additional outdoor space and I imagine heated tents can be implemented then. Out of sheer curiosity which otr establishment do you own?
  18. oh I see..does this city plan on building more street eateries?
  19. IMO this is a good thing. If they ate most of the parking lot it would be a giant super block. With available lots you at least give this portion of sycamore street to have a more unique street scape with various architecture design instead of one giant building.
  20. Are they building a new street eatery by the Mercer? Couldn’t tell by their ig page but it seemed like it…
  21. Jacob Trevino is partnering with a local video game developer to open 3 new bars. The first bar will be at 1834 race street in otr and will be a comic book and cock tail lounge.
  22. Maybe for the hard rock live upstairs?
  23. https://www.wlwt.com/article/days-after-unveiling-hard-rock-cincinnati-guitar-signage-covered-up/37068673 hard rock guitar is recovered again because hard rock wants to do a new grand reopening in the fall. kinda ridiculous how they are manufacturing hype with these reopening celebrations.
  24. Any word on the mini banks project that is supposed to be built next to TQL stadium? I know we got that rendering a while back show casing what fcc entertainment district could like but that kind of went quiet since.
  25. I remember when that area of Madisonville/Oakley was such a desolate empty hole. I do Wish some of the developments were done better with better urban forward thinking concepts but overall I am still amazed by how much more of a city this part of town feels like. yeah, I wish that there were less parking lots and the Oakley station was more urban..but overall I’m still happy with how dense everything feels. It definitely feels like that at some point there will be serious reconsideration for those parking lots because the pace of development is far outweighing the pace of available empty lots and land that can be built on.
