That is interesting news. Looks like all they are doing now is soil borings for foundations. One plus of jury duty I guess is views of the city like this. I wish there was more construction going on though.

Plus there is a stage there so I'm guessing that protects an overzealous guitarist rifting into Euclid.

Google maps allows you to 'walk down' Barn Ct. to get a feel for it.

I suppose they could add buses to alleviate some capacity, which would increase the frequency of buses at each stop. They could run into overcrowding however as was often the case with street cars back in the day.

It sounds to me like it is an interior demolition permit. The article notes a build-out which would mean an empty shell that they are rebuilding interior walls to create the space.

That's probably the easiest way to get to Ridge since it would go over 480.

Is the lettering or any other portion of the gateways planned to be lit? Some silhouette lighting behind the PHS lettering would look cool. Edit: looking a few pages back they are LED lit channel letters.

The lot between the apartment building and EY/Aloft was planned for a parking garage with more apartments above it in PH 3. This plan is from October of 2012 so it is rather outdated. This version also appears to have plans for a garage between blgs. 1 and 2 with additional buildings south of the garage. In the plan posted by trav, that appears to have been eliminated.

Wow after seeing the actual gateway, not in favor of such a massive and bulky monstrosity crossing the street. They should have just put a larger vertical sign on the pillers on each street side. Similar in concept to the light pillars at CSU.

I saw the construction elevator rising to the upper floors of the Breuer tower at 8:30 pm tonight. They must be working second shifts to get this one done asap.

^It's just a master plan.... That proposed building to be demolished is quite a disaster though.

^It probably has to do with the possible noise deadening ability of concrete.

Single story? Really? So much for density. There should be zoning restrictions for a minimum of 3-4 stories in the City Center.
