I noticed just last night, when it's all lit up, you can see it when you're heading down High before you even get to Lane Ave now!

Thank you! (I didn't include a link with mine because I didn't see anything that wasn't behind a paywall.)

Luvcbus replied to Summit Street's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionMost of Quarry Trails Metro Park are set to open Nov 30 From The Columbus Dispatch- "With a flurry of work to finish projects, Columbus and Franklin County Metro Parks will be opening most of Quarry Trails Metro Park on Nov. 30. “This is going to be like an urban Hocking Hills experience,” said Larry Peck, Metro Parks deputy director. Metro Parks had planned to open 60 to 100 acres of the 220-acre park by mid-October. But it’s taken a bit more time than officials thought, including figuring out a safe route for visitors to walk between the north and south ends of the park as work continues at the site. But Peck said that on Nov. 30, close to 200 acres will be open." I can not wait to go check this out!

I'm interested to see what happens with this: https://www.delgazette.com/news/91126/development-proposal-presented If it does happen, that part of northwest Delaware will not look anything like it does today.

Luvcbus replied to Summit Street's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionI had that jingle stuck in my head just a few days ago! Lol I also still like the Bobby Layman jingle too. "Where's Bobby? 39-0-0 west broad".

I thought it was re-opened as something else, but I could be wrong??

Reynoldsburg: Developments and News
Its interesting. The old K-Mart building on Stringtown is being redeveloped right now too. If I'm not mistaken, these were the last two old K-Mart buildings left in Franklin County?

Upper Arlington: Developments and News
Luvcbus replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionLots of projects in that general area are moving along at a nice pace for sure... Kenny and Lane area moving quick too. 1550 Kenny is vertical now as well, but I still don't recall ever seeing renderings for it? It looks like it will be five stories. You'll definitely see lots of progress all around. Make sure to loop around the new high school too. Things are moving quick there as well. Work has started on the softball/baseball complex area. That high school is impressive.

This is going on the old K-Mart property. Any word on when the rest of the developments on that site are supposed to start?

Columbus: Scioto Downs Racino
Looks like Scioto Downs will be significantly upgrading their grandstands! "At 30,000 square-feet, the new Grandstands will feature 768 stadium seats on the main level, an additional 280 seats on the terrace and an open apron area. The two VIP suites on the top level will accommodate up to 130 guests and offer a variety of food and drink options." https://abc6onyourside.com/news/local/eldorado-scioto-downs-unveils-plans-for-20-million-trackside-grandstand?fbclid=IwAR16lXc0IShKyX7125N179TN7pG2t2vzFQqNrDs63ILm_HQulLIbcAkOJqE

Reynoldsburg: Developments and News
And since the new sheet will be on the east side, I think it will be interesting to see if one (or both) of the Pickerington High School's add hockey as well, setting up a nice little rivalry out east.

Reynoldsburg: Developments and News
Me too. There is always a need for more sheets of ice across the city. Especially in that part of the city. The article mentions Reynoldsburg High School will add a varsity hockey team too which is a good thing for the area. It will give schools like Upper Arlington another local team to play.

Reynoldsburg: Developments and News
Another sheet of ice is coming to the Columbus Metro as well. This is great news, as Central Ohio has a real need for more sheets of ice around the city. https://www.nbc4i.com/news/local-news/reynoldsburg/new-youth-athletic-facility-coming-to-reynoldsburg/

I commented in favor of the IBEW development on CU a while back... He actually commented back thanking me for my support. I thought it was interesting that he was "keeping tabs" on what everyone was saying... You can see he responded to a few comments at the bottom of this article: https://www.columbusunderground.com/work-could-start-this-summer-on-ibew-project-bw1/

Couldn't get any pics, but the Northeast Gateway Project is really coming along nicely too. I went through there Friday, and crews were working on some of the decorative brick walls, like the one pictured below.

Luvcbus replied to CMH_Downtown's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionI saw they tore the Main Bar down today, but didn't have a fence up. Not sure if I've ever seen a structure tore down without fencing up. I assumed they had to have one up for safety reasons? No?- Columbus: Italian Village: Jeffrey Park Development

Luvcbus replied to CMH_Downtown's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionAnyone have any renderings of what the bridge on John Herrick Drive will look like after they finish rebuilding it? Since it's located so close to Ohio Stadium and a few bike paths too, i was hoping it will have a "pedestrian crossover" underneath it like the bridge on Lane Ave has. - Columbus: Downtown: RiverSouth Developments and News
