  1. It’s really interesting to me that none of the retail spaces on the ground floor of these buildings are filling up.
  2. Toro Supermarket submitted permits for the Continental Center.
  3. Suburban Centers Inc. submitted an application to remove the existing sign structure for 1101 N High St. Looks like they’re trying to repair the roof…. Curious if anyone has the inside scoop on this? One of the last standing bits to develop in the Short North…. https://columbusoh-my.sharepoint.com/personal/devmsonedrive3_columbus_gov/_layouts/15/onedrive.aspx?id=%2Fpersonal%2Fdevmsonedrive3%5Fcolumbus%5Fgov%2FDocuments%2FPlanning%2FBoard%5FCommission%2FVictorian%20Village%20Commission%20%28VVC%29%2F2025%2F06%2E%20June%2F09%5FCOA2500517%201101%20N%20High%20St%2Epdf&parent=%2Fpersonal%2Fdevmsonedrive3%5Fcolumbus%5Fgov%2FDocuments%2FPlanning%2FBoard%5FCommission%2FVictorian%20Village%20Commission%20%28VVC%29%2F2025%2F06%2E%20June&ga=1
  4. I’ve been told multiple times on good authority that TJs is going in Grandview Crossing, but that was supposed to start Q1 and we’re already in Q2 with no indication of it happening….
  5. Honestly, I just am personally not a fan of indoor arena concerts, and would love an outdoor amphitheater that could accommodate artists that need an arena sized venue. I heard a rumor that Thrive was considering an outdoor amphitheater in Quarry Trails which would be awesome, but selfishly, I want the amphitheater to be downtown. So with my extreme lack of knowledge about feasibility, it seems like the best place to put it lol.
  6. This is my petition for the triangle lot north of the stadium to be turned into a large outdoor amphitheater to compete with Riverbend and Blossom
  7. I will never give up on my dream for that parking lot to be a Little Italy with condos/apartments with a plaza in the center lol.
  8. I think the street is going to be activated so maybe part of that? In the article for Chef Dalton’s New Mexican restaurant, they say his patio will spill onto pearl: “Plans, which are subject to change, call for a 60-seat eatery with patio space spilling onto Pearl Street behind, enlivening what long has been a desolate stretch of alley, especially after nightfall. Plans call for the alley to become pedestrian-oriented as the streetscape along Gay Street from Front to Fourth streets is revamped during the coming years by the Capital Line project, an effort by Edwards and Downtown Columbus Inc.” https://www.dispatch.com/story/entertainment/dining/2024/11/15/chef-josh-dalton-to-open-mexican-restaurant-at-gay-and-high-streets/76261489007/
  9. I can’t tell exactly, but I think a neat new concept is already committed to opening in this too: https://614now.com/2025/food-drink/former-plas-z-cucina-chef-bringing-italian-cafe-and-supper-club-to-short-north
  10. Voodoo Brewing is taking over both spaces. They’ve filed permits to turn the windows into garage doors. https://614now.com/2024/food-drink/national-brewpub-chain-opening-in-short-north
  11. I think it’s worth noting as part of this conversation that the Panzeras lot has been listed on Crexi and Loopnet for a while: https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/1354-Grandview-Ave-Columbus-OH/34616331/

  13. Here’s to hoping they fix the sidewalks and roads on Fifth. This would benefit so much from better streetscapes.
  14. I without a doubt agree that Luckys and CVS should have been on the ground floor. However, even so, I would personally be willing to pay that price if it meant living within a 2 minute walk of high street, a pharmacy, and a grocery story lol. I think these are going to do really well.
  15. Looks like All Paws Social (the dog park bar) is still on the table, and now in the Grandview/5th by Northwest area instead of Italian Village. I have in my head that the old location for All Paws Social in Italian Village is now turning into an events space (called the Harrison or something like that), so I figured the dog bar was dead… but guess not
