Cincinnati: Lancaster Lofts
the latter... "I don't think the city is in quite that good of a position (yet) to start offering ultimatums to developers. One day maybe, but right now we are starting to get are feet wet...lets not ruin a good thing that we've got going. Like I said...patience" - I think this passive sentiment prevents these projects from coming to fruition. Ya know, I've been hearing of this inevitable "market slowdown" for a couple years now...only to see the opposite actually happen!

Cincinnati: Lancaster Lofts
The Lancaster is my original idea. Rando, I always thoought it would be nice if the block of parking lot bordered by power, St. Xavier place, X Church was turned into an actual St. Xavier Park! Al Neyer marketed his "neighborhood" as St Xavier Park - except there was no park...the strategy is similar to that of Gateway Quarter, creates buzz makes seem like a destination. Neyer just blew off the city with the tower! Eagle has been bullshitting council for years at 5th & Race...council should expire their contracts and replace them.

Downtown retail scene - cincy
Thanks for solid follow-up! Gibson Lofts is across from Aronoff next to Pheonix. Havn't been able to lease their street retail for over 2 years. What else is going in 580 besides Oceanaire? Which building in OTR Duncunson Lofts is the next Jean Robert project?

Cincinnati: A city of contradictions (Espn)
I get tired of re-reading typical stereotypes about my hometown. I'm born and bread in cincy, an i think pete rose is an a$$hole. He milked his whole thing...I have no sympathy

Cincinnati: Lancaster Lofts
Like the Ft. Washington before it, Dennison inevitabley will convert. I'm disgusted by Cianciolo's new awning, the original had authenticity. I wish all those lots along 7th and 8th east of walnut would become new glass skinned residential towers and condos. It would be a nice mix- Sky blue glass + Ohio redbrick

Cincinnati: Lancaster Lofts

Tons of Photos of the "Most Beautiful City in the Midwest"
Montecarlos, You have potential to become a good photographer. Your photos have a slight amaturish feel to them. I think you should consider taking a photography class or something to learn composition. Youve got some raw talent though.

cornices and brackets and eaves - oh my (cincy - otr)
To me, Over The Rhine is the epitome of Cincinnati. It's soooo authentic - I love it!Architecturally speaking, it represents everything the city could be, should be, and once was. I love the fushion of architecture and history. My heart is sad to see it in this condition. It depresses me so much. The best part of the city is in the shittiest condition. My god, if OTR ever became livible I'd be among the first down there.

Cincinnati: OTR: North Main Street Discussion
Nick Spencer:"OTR is extremely dangerous (in many ways), and will be UNTIL City Hall and the powers that be decide to clean up the area. Until then, its not going to turn around. They could change everything in one year, but they don't have the will or the guts." Ok, what should they do? (Relocate to Clifton. I'll be a first year planning student at DAAP. We'd love something like that down here.)
