  1. City Lands Grant for 7-Mile Trail and Park in Linden "The City of Columbus was awarded nearly $2.5 million for the purchase of an abandoned rail corridor that runs through Linden. The plan is turn the seven-mile-long, 58-acre piece of land into a linear park, with a 10-foot-wide shared use path running along its entire length. The corridor is approximately 80 feet wide and stretches from South Linden to Northland – specifically, from the Douglas Community Center on Windsor Avenue to Cooper Park, which sits north of State Route 161. There would be over 40 access points to the linear park, which would run through several different neighborhoods and be located within a ten-minute walk of about 131,000 people, according to materials produced by the city’s Recreation and Parks Department." https://columbusunderground.com/city-lands-grant-for-7-mile-trail-and-park-in-linden-bw1/
  2. I think you're talking about this: "The proposal, from Marker Development, calls for five floors of apartments over a two-story parking garage. The bottom two levels would also hold a lobby and about 4,400 square feet of commercial space (on the Broad Street side of the building), and six townhomes on the Gay Street side of the building." https://columbusunderground.com/seven-story-building-proposed-for-west-broad-street-bw1/ amped91 mentioned in late January that he saw an "application for a demo permit within the last couple weeks". Hopefully we'll see movement on site soon.

  6. We were out at Intel this morning for the first large slab pour of the foundation. I did get a few pics, but until vertical construction starts it's kind of hard to see- Concrete trucks lined up at the batch plant next to the Intel site: Crews were also building a second batch plant near the site today: And the security post that was on Miller near Mink has been moved further back on the site allowing for a better look at the progress. Snatched a quick one from Miller Rd near where the security post used to be:

  9. Didn't see many details on the park. Only thing I could find is this: "There will also be a central green space at Jeffrey Park that Thrive Cos. has worked with the Italian Village Commission on. They hope to open the park, which is planned to be over an acre, in the spring of 2023. It would be the largest park in Italian Village.
