  1. Floodmarkers and other artwork going up at the Peninsula
  2. Work is underway at the new UA Community Center site
  3. Crane Alert 🚨 Looks like soon the Rambler will have a scarlet tower crane to hang out with the gray one that's already there!
  4. Work continues on the first two buildings up at the Columbus Castings site And a quick one of the third, and largest of the three warehouses being built on site:
  5. Remember this from the list of local projects that were awarded brownfield remediation funds in the last round: "LDG Multifamily, LLC/Project Name, 3515 E. Main Street/ $5.6 million(awarded for cleanup) This property has been the site of a family-owned salvage yard since the 1930s. Three warehouse buildings remain on the site and are still used for current salvage operations but would require extensive remediation prior to redevelopment. Cleanup on the site includes removal of contaminated soil on the property. After remediation, the site will be redeveloped as workforce and market-rate housing along a prominent corridor in Whitehall." That's the Wirthman Salvage Yard site (on E Main St across from the upcoming Enclave on Main project at Main and Maplewood). I was told last week that if things behind the scenes keep moving along as smoothly as they are now, cleanup at 3515 E Main could start as soon as June/July! More positive news for Whitehall is great to see!
  6. Work is well underway on all fourteen apartment buildings planned for the Buckstone Flats portion of the site, across from HTHS Crews were also pouring more roads throughout the site yesterday as well.
  7. I was just through there about an hour ago, and they were putting fencing up around the Church's Chicken and the lots next to it. (Maybe they'll tear the Church's down and use that lot for staging?)
  8. Does that include the corner plot where Church's Chicken was too? Because fencing is going up there today as well
  9. I have an acquaintance that gives me little nuggets of info "off the record". He told me yesterday when we were there that they plan to make the first slab pour within a week or so!
  10. We go out every Monday morning and you can definitely feel the momentum building. Today, even Green Chapel, which is on the far edge of the site, was much much busier than even a week ago.
  11. Work on the road construction projects is underway now on Clover Valley, Green Chapel and Mink! And more houses are coming down ahead of the widening as well Construction as far as the eye can see- for miles!
  12. Checked out progress at the New Albany Tech Park earlier. Now that more trees have been cleared you can really see just how massive this site is. Dirt is moving on at least four or five separate areas of the Park now. More trees and houses are coming down as well. Snatched a few random ones from Haul Rd (Harrison Rd extension), which runs through the middle of NATP
  13. We live in Merion Village and was chatting with our neighbors who are also very excited (and surprised) to see this site finally cleaned up. While the proposal for the property isn't perfect, it's one of those plots of land that you always wondered if it would ever be something other than an eyesore. We're definitely excited to see the west side of High from Barthman down to the Steelton Village site active again!
  14. Cleanup has started at this site too. No structures have been tore down yet but machinery is on site for that. -very excited to see this site repurposed!
  15. Short Street was back open earlier, so I used the opportunity to check how the freeway reconstruction is going. Took a few random ones, all in the general vicinity of Miranova:
  16. Snatched a couple quick ones of 4th & 5th while I was stopped at the light headed north on 4th
