Columbus: Franklinton Developments and News
Signage is up on Harmon Ave where the county plans to build the Franklin County Crisis Care Center An article in today's Dispatch suggests we should see dirt moving on site soon: "Franklin County, its Alcohol, Drug and Mental Health Board and the Central Ohio Hospital Council broke ground in February on their new Mental Health and Addiction Crisis Center, 465 Harmon Ave. Located in South Franklinton, it's across from the Franklin County Children's Services building, south of Interstate 70. The nearly $60 million project remains on track for an expected 2025 opening, with officials in the process of finalizing paperwork and other elements within the next 30 days before gearing up for construction." https://www.dispatch.com/story/news/healthcare/2023/03/05/upcoming-columbus-area-health-center-projects-what-you-need-to-know/69940711007/

New Albany: Ohio One (Intel Semiconductor Facility)
CbusOrBust replied to cbussoccer's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionHere's the article on what to expect on site now through the end of 2023: "Plumbers and electricians will start on underground plumbing and electrical work that needs to be done on the two factories, called fabs, that Intel is building, according to Mike Knisley, secretary-treasurer of the Ohio State Building and Construction Trades Council. About 500 workers will be on the site starting this month (February), he estimated. Beginning this summer, the workforce will start to swell as construction goes vertical. Cranes and heavy machinery will be brought to the site as well. In Chandler, Arizona, where Intel broke ground in September 2021 for two additional factories, there are now about 30 cranes on site." https://www.dispatch.com/story/business/2023/01/06/federal-aid-to-begin-flowing-to-semiconductor-business-in-2023/69760174007/

New Albany: Ohio One (Intel Semiconductor Facility)
CbusOrBust replied to cbussoccer's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionLast week on Miller Rd, less than a 1/4 mile from the Intel site, crews built a small gravel lot... When i was there again Wednesday, these guys were gathering there. And they were just starting to move dirt on this particular site. When I say "just starting to move dirt", I mean it literally. I happened to catch this piece of machinery making the very first trip around the site. This last one is from the Clover Valley Rd edge of the Intel site, looking toward 62. Miller Rd is on the left where the utility poles are. The site where they were just starting to move dirt is in the distance. The area in the foreground, up to the mounds of dirt, is where Clover Valley will be widened to in the coming months.

I was thinking the same thing. I can remember living on Schrock Rd in the late 90's wondering (and kind of hoping) if it would ever be tore down.
