New Albany: New Albany International Business Park / Silicon Heartland
CbusOrBust replied to aderwent's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionThere's only one house still standing on what will be VanTrust's 500-acre "New Albany Tech Park". Work on site has really been picking up over the last couple weeks. The newly built Haul Rd, which runs directly to the Intel site, is just behind this shot

Delaware County: Evans Farm
We were up on the far north side of the city earlier so we used the opportunity to check out some of the developments rising across Orange Township. Another one of the buildings that will make up the "town center" portion of Evans Farm has started vertical construction. This one's called The Cove Ground also broke recently on Jennings Sports Park, which is located between Evans Farm and the tracks. Looks like they're currently working on installing drainage at the new park. These are from the backside of that project from near Piatt Rd and Shanahan Rd.

Columbus: Linden Developments and News
CbusOrBust replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionNot yet on the residential. An article from CU in March says they plan on finishing the factory first, then using product from the new factory to create the new housing on site: "A local developer’s plan to turn the former Value City site at the corner of Innis and Westerville Roads into a modular home factory is moving forward. Brad DeHays, the founder of Connect Realty and of a new company called Connect Housing Blocks, is convinced that the project can achieve several lofty goals at once, providing good jobs for local residents and revitalizing a key intersection while increasing the supply of affordable housing. The plan is for that new housing to end up on scattered sites throughout the region, but also directly on the property, where the housing modules produced in the factory will be stacked together to create two new apartment complexes. The two apartment buildings will be built on what is now a large parking lot, and eventually would add about a hundred residential units to the 27-acre site. That portion of the project, though, is not scheduled to happen until 2024, DeHays says. The focus right now is on turning the large, interconnected buildings on the site – which together hold about 270,000 square feet of space – into a modern factory, complete with a state-of-the-art manufacturing line that could eventually churn out as many as 1,500 affordable housing units a year." https://columbusunderground.com/modular-home-factory-apartments-planned-for-value-city-site-bw1/

Columbus: OSU / University Area Developments and News
CbusOrBust replied to CMH_Downtown's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionRecently I got to take a tour of the massive new tennis facility they built at Ohio State and it was very impressive! and next door to where the new lacrosse stadium is being built, is the Covelli Center, which is their relatively new wrestling and volleyball arena. I was at a volleyball match there a couple weeks ago and it is a top-notch facility with great views of the game and a great atmosphere.

Columbus: German Village / Schumacher Place Developments and News
CbusOrBust replied to buildingcincinnati's post in a topic in Central & Southeast Ohio Projects & ConstructionSpeaking of those yard signs, pretty much all those houses along Kossuth St near the site had those signs up. A couple weeks ago, there was only one house through there that still had one up. I noticed last night that that one has been taken down as well. I think reality is finally setting in!
