  1. @KJPjust saw the article mentioned on the Ultimate Cleveland Sports Show earlier.
  2. Thankfully, too! That name was just bloat.
  3. Keep the posts coming! Want to see updates like I do for Sherwin Williams in Cleveland
  4. @dski44it's a refreshing site to see the new against the old. Hopefully phase 2 comes along sooner rather than later so we can keep up the momentum of modernizing the skyline.
  5. Glad I'm not the only one that feels this way
  6. @dave2017what program did you use for this? Looks great!
  7. Anyone have news on the demo of that parking garage behind the Rockefeller building?
  8. As someone who writes "vision" documents for work, I hate vision documents. The more projects the better.
  9. Is that bulkhead going to be replaced?
  10. Here's a good video explaining this:
  11. That is one "Whale" of a crane! Too bad it won't be used in German Village.
  12. The commissioners are a complete joke. I'm thinking about how my professors would stress "the importance of the third place" in planning and how that's not being thought of whatsoever in these new buildings. Do half of the job and fill them with chain stores. Quality redevelopment should not stop at the design of the building, the use is just as important. A good example of retaining a business is the Alabama Fishbar in OTR (Cincy).
  13. I agree it's not a great establishment haha they even double-charged me once back in college for drinks and never went back. At the same time, the University District/Campus Partners/key stakeholders involved need to make a greater effort to address the needs/wants of the students as well. I remember when I was at OSU the 15th and High project was in the planning stages. Campus partners surveyed students what they wanted to see most in the project. The number one request was for "bars". From what I've seen there aren't any in the new builds, it's only local high-priced food places. When I was a student I never was interested in places like that nor could afford going to them. That's why those places are constantly going out of business in the Gateway as well.
  14. My problem with all of the rebuilds is that there's been a continuous loss of character (small businesses) throughout this section of High St. Sure it may look more aesthetically pleasing with more density but it will most likely be occupied by some sort of large business or another one of those bowl/burger joints that last a few years. I was happy to see Chumley's reopen in a new location but that unfortunately didn't last. Sense of place is so important to a campus and having a glorified version of Easton/Crocker Park doesn't do it for me.
