Cleveland: Downtown: Medical Mutual HQ Renovation
Here is Crains take on it. Medical Mutual spokeswoman Tiffini Bloniarz confirmed the company has signed a letter of intent to pursue a long-term lease option at 1 American Road. "We selected that facility since it is centrally located and offers Medical Mutual the space necessary to accommodate our needs at a reasonable cost," Bloniarz said. She would not speak to how the company plans to handle its downtown staff but added, "We expect no significant impact to the city of Cleveland." The target of Medical Mutual's attention is likely to be a four-story office building that formerly housed executive offices of the greetings card maker in Brooklyn. The offices are attached to much larger single-floor space on the 1.5 million square feet of the property that is being converted to a multitenant commerce park. http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20170908/news/134921/medical-mutual-ohio-weighs-move-some-workers-brooklyn (btw if you have trouble getting past Crains firewall, open up the article in the "incognito tab" . Cleveland: Downtown: Huntington Bank Field
http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20170907/blogs06/134641/firstenergy-stadium-now-equipped-intels-freed-technology A 2017 addition you might not notice at first is something that could add a Jabrill Peppers-sized pop to the viewing experience. FES is one of 11 stadiums that has been equipped with Intel's freeD technology. The Browns' 18-year-old home has been equipped with 38 5K ultra-high-definition cameras that Intel says will "capture the greatest plays from every angle and create enhanced 360-degree highlights and immersive player perspectives." If you're at the stadium on game day, that means better replays and closer views of the on-field action. If you're among the many watching the game from home (or a bar), you can access and share the freeD technology via NFL.com, the NFL Mobile app, the league's YouTube channel and by checking out the Browns' digital offerings.

Cleveland: Scranton Peninsula: Development and News
Very thorough piece from Bullard..some good info Long-term trends revive development pulse on Scranton Peninsula However, other prospects already are knocking on the door about land controlled by the trust, which traces its ownership of property back more than a century, including a corporate headquarters he refused to identify. A major asset of the peninsula, the empty former home of Ferry Cap & Set Screw Co. at 2151 Scranton Road, was on the cusp of redevelopment until plans by the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District to build a tunnel on part of the property tossed at least a three-year delay into a proposal to renovate it to apartments However, in an email Weiner said the developers told their land planner, the global firm Perkins + Will, to analyze several different scenarios for a mixed-use development on the peninsula. http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20170903/news/134256/long-term-trends-revive-development-pulse-scranton-peninsula

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
K&D Group targets Post Office Plaza purchase Doug Price, K&D CEO, confirmed the company he runs with co-founder Karen Paganini has a contract to purchase the office building that Forest City installed in the former downtown post office in the 1990s as part of its Tower City Center project. The building at 1300 W. Third St. converted the empty 1925-vintage U.S. Post Office building to office use, preserving its stainless steel-lined art deco lobby for future generations. It was sometimes overlooked because of the scope of Tower City, which incorporated the landmark Terminal Tower and installed a since-failing downtown mall in part of the former rail station and two skyscrapers on pads in the complex that had sat empty since the Great Depression. http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20170730/NEWS/170739992/kd-group-targets-post-office-plaza-purchase?X-IgnoreUserAgent=1

Cleveland: Downtown: May Company Building
Dan Gilbert's Bedrock is sizing up May Co. building Bedrock's name has surfaced as the potential buyer of the old May Co. department store on Public Square. The building also has an often overlooked side on Prospect Avenue across from the Jack Cleveland Casino's welcome center, parking garage and recently installed Wahlburgers eatery. Three sources familiar with the situation, who asked not to be identified because they are not authorized to discuss it, said Gilbert's real estate arm is in due diligence to buy the building's upper floors from Euclid of Cleveland LLC, the Miami Beach, Fla.-based affiliate of real estate investor Robert Danial. http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20170730/NEWS/170739993/dan-gilberts-bedrock-is-sizing-up-may-co-building?X-IgnoreUserAgent=1
