Cleveland Mayoral Race 2017
^Well I was hoping for a different voice in this race. A younger guy with a mission and a love for his hometown. My outside the box candidates were David Gilbert, Chris Ronayne and Graham Veysey from Hingetown. Brandon could be a good choice though. Want to hear more of his ideas.

What? You're mad because they only have 2 seatings at Sandy's restaurant? If that's what the guy wants to build, so what? Two seatings?? I never know what you're talking about.

Cleveland: Restaurant News & Info
While Sandy Cutler builds his phony French bistro for his pals real preservation work continues from people who believe in the city he abandoned. Steaks, craft cocktails, raw bar to be amid offerings in spectacular Marble Room. http://www.freshwatercleveland.com/devnews/MarbleRoom013017.aspx

Cleveland: Downtown: Progressive Field
I was hoping this would also include lighting for the outside of Progressive also. Other fields like Comerica for instance are really lit up nice with decorative LED's at night. Club is adding LED field lights for 2017 http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20170129/NEWS/170129814/tribes-outlook-is-even-brighter-club-is-adding-led-field-lights-for

Cleveland Browns Discussion
^Phil Savage was talking about him the other day and said the majority of his success came in non-sec games. Of course Savage is all about Alabama and Johnathan Allen so he is a little biased. But I would definatly want to know where his head is at before I would draft him. You can take an average DE and put him in the right scheme and can be an allpro. An average QB will always be just that, average.

Cleveland: Flats Developments (Non-Stonebridge or FEB)
From @sharetheriver these photos show the progress of the Lakefront Bikeway Connector as it passes through the West Bank of the flats. Looks to be somewhere between the Viaduct and the Shoreway bridge. You can see Krill Construction in one of the pics which is around Main and Mulberry.

Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
I would be open to a McDonalds if that company would just understand that what you build in Brunswick is not what you build in Ohio City. Build me a 3 to 4 story brownstone with McDonald's as the main tenant + other retail spaces and 20 or so apartments above. Put the parking and drive thru around back with a buffer zone in respect to the surrounding neighbors. It's not that tough to figure out. #iluvchickenmcgriddles

Cleveland Browns Discussion
Regarding the #1/#12 pick. Just draft me the best QB and start him from day one. This past yaer was another wasted one searching for a QB. Last year's pick should have been Wentz/Prescott/Jones, 1-15 would have felt so much better. Also is no one else concerned that Myles Garrett has already told the world he prefers not to play in cold weather? I dont want the leader of my defense huddling around the heaters. I would like to draft him #1 and immediately trade him to GBay...

Cleveland: Nautica Development
On the Jacobs master plan it does show a parking structure next to the Downtown Storage bldg. But I doubt we will see that, will more than likely be a surface lot. The proposed hotel could be one of the two I have highlighted. Although this site plan will probably look completely different as we go along.

Cleveland: Nautica Development
Two good things we learn from this news in Crains is the new Nautica development has a pulse and the first piece could be a boutique hotel adjacent to the Powerhouse. Five brands are said to be interested. The bad is the destruction of a beautiful building for parking. So many vacant lots around there why create another one. http://www.crainscleveland.com/article/20170108/NEWS/170109856/nautica-expansion-picks-up-steam-with-building-buy

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
^It was Dahntay Jones who I thought was still in town. Cavs could use him right now with JR out. Not sold on Liggins.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
Well I wouldn't doubt many of the leases at Key/200 or other buildings are structured in a way that some type of concession was granted. Many of them are not paying market rate to sign on the dotted line. Also some businesses recv tax abatement or forgivable loans from the city/county to commit long term. I don't see the difference.

Cleveland: Downtown: Convention Center Atrium & Expansion
I always read these articles on the Globe as nothing but 'clickbate'. I mean seriously where is the news here. 80 % occupancy would put it right in line with downtown Clevelands office vacancy rate. Key Center and 200 PS are also at about 80% occupancy, should we consider them a failure also. Why no headlines for them? Because no one would click on the story.

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
^Could be but downsizing seems to be what these companies are doing lately. Key bank cut back their space needs, Forest City seems to be doing the same. Wonder how much space MM will actually need. To me our best bet for new construction (fingers crossed) will be SW.
-
Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
I would love to see new construction for MM but I think they may be looking at existing space. 45 Erieview would be a good fit for them. Didn't MM need about 250k sf? I know their acquisition of HealthSpan may change that but that back office stuff may stay in the burbs.

Cleveland: Innerbelt News
Per an Innerbelt Facebook post on 12/18, ODOT has gotten the OK to replace the HPS lights on the two new bridges with LED. Didn't give a timeframe.
