Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
My dislike for the Jack branding and the new signage doesn't run as deep as most of you. I am actually OK with it. Never was a fan of the Horseshoe Casino name here, it just never worked for me. But I like big bold signs that light up and visually make alot of 'noise' . That's a city to me, it's where it belongs.

A whole lot of paving going on. If we had an RNC like event every year this city would be spotless... If your a tourist in Cleveland and you want to go to the Hard Rock you probably did not realize that there is one within 50 miles of where you live as there are 160 of them...It's like rolling into town and wanting to go to the Cheese Cake Factory, nothing special. Now if this was the HOB I would be concerned, with a bout 12 locations much more exclusive. They are probably getting calls for that location already, it won't be empty long.- Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
This is hardly a major loss. We are a big city that can absorb a restaurant closing. Hard Rock is played out. They have closed about 40 locations over the last ten years. Once at over 250 locations now down to about 160. I never felt special having one here. I am sure it has everything to do with Gilbert now in control of TC and the Rocksino. If Hard Rock thinks they can elevate their brand by moving from a major CBD to hillbilly Northfield than more power to them.- Cleveland: Public Square Redesign

Port to light up Cleveland harbor silos http://www.cleveland.com/metro/index.ssf/2016/05/port_to_light_up_cleveland_harbor_silos.html#incart_m-rpt-2- Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
yes I remember that but why no announcement yet- Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
I am so surprised there has been no announcement on the operator of the Cafe yet. Other than what I uncovered last week about REBOL_Cle there has been nothing. BTW that Instagram account was taken down the next day and is now inactive. It went from a few followers to about 100 at the end of the night, shows we have a lot of stalkers here. It probably wasn't supposed to get out in that way. I cant see that being open in time for the RNC except maybe in a small limited way. But to get the FOH/BOH, hiring, training done in about two months is probably not going to happen.- Cleveland: Nautica Development
Regarding the site plan. The first renderings we saw for FEB was in 2004, twelve years ago. So this will obviously change over the years. What I hope stays is the harbor component which is exactly what I have always envisioned for that space. Cleveland is a big boating community and I can just see that space packed during the summer with boats and non stop activity. It could be a hub of constant movement for the whole river. I could do without the building in the middle of it though, that just doesn't work for me as it overwhelm s that space. I think once the harbor is up and running it will become so popular it will be left as is. I could though see that twin tower building at the northern end of Nautica smack dab in place of the oh so horrible Christie's Caberet building. That would make a very dramatic entrance into the river as you approach from the lake.- Cleveland: North Coast Transportation Center
Well I guess my biggest concern about the grant is that this project seems to serve just one component which is Greyhound. This might be the best bus station in America and it's not costing Greyhound anything. Wouldn't the bid be taken more seriously if it involved the consolidation of Greyhound/Amtrak/RTA in one terminal. My hope was that the Amtrak station and the RTA station would be demolished and Incorporated into one project. I just think the commission will look at this and say 'You want 37mil for a bus station?' go back to the drawing board.- Cleveland: North Coast Transportation Center
Well very exciting. My concern is of course the Tiger grant as they seem to hate us. Many have been requested in the past but they never seem to take us seriously. So I hope whoever writes this one does a better job. Unfortunately I just don't see us getting 37mil for a bus station. About the station. I am very happy there is a canopy for the busses. Although that could be the first thing to go with lesser money along with the all-weather walkway. Also the terminal looks big enough to handle both Greyhound and Amtrak, why is there a need for two terminals? Couldn't the one terminal handle both? I like the timeframe though with construction complete by 2020.- Cleveland: Random Development and News
The next banner I would like to see would go from the top of the building all the way to the bottom and it would be an exact photo duplication of a side of the Landmark building that has windows in it. And it would be back lit at night. Driving by it would just look like a wall with windows, day and night. :-) - Cleveland: Wind Turbine Construction News
