Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Thanks and I'll answer briefly as I don't want to take this to far off topic as this is not actual development. But I see that space for something intimate, a smaller venue. For mostly acoustic performances, lectures etc. Keep in mind lawn seating would be available with site lines to the stage. And the seating would be removable if you wanted a standing room only type event. So the capacity would be fluid.

I am glad design review held off on the approval of the RockHall Plaza, it definitely needs some work. I don't like the red/black color scheme and the stage is something straight out of the county fair. I understand the limited budget but it's just weak to me. I actually don't mind the Long Live Rock component, that could be a fun place for people to meet. I would like to see the center of the plaza, where it resembles a record to have some kind of LED light show or a fountain that could move with the music. But for now just replace the plastic plants, I would be good with that. Hmm let me think about that, Oh yeah... http://www.urbanohio.com/forum2/index.php/topic,3638.msg751125.html#msg751125

Cleveland: Cleveland State University: Development and News
Just a nice pic of the much maligned NEOMED building. I know the lawn, the lawn. But I do like the way it opened up that whole side of the Trinity Cathedral. (Photo-Cleveland Aerial Media).

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
^^Well there's a certain paint company we all know and love...btw I have zero faith in city officials when it comes to negotiations regarding companies looking for HQ space. Jackson always seems so proud that Cleveland receives some tax revenue from the Highlands. He's like 50 % is good. I'm fine with it. And if that's not bad enough Kasich will come up with some tax money for them to move like he did for AG/Eaton. More subsidies should be available if you stay or move to the city as opposed to the burbs. And Doug Miller is like a double agent he should only be focused on the PS property...communist... Nothing burns me more than companies moving away from the city that they have been invested in for decades...(rant over)

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
Not sure if this has opened yet. Ushabu - New Japanese Restaurant for Tremont1/6/2016 | Ushabu is a new Japanese restaurant slated to open at 2173 Professor Avenue in the Tremont neighborhood in early 2016. The restaurant will serve shabu-shabu, a Japanese style of dining similar to fondue, which features hotpots at the table for patrons to cook their own fresh meat, seafood and vegetables in a selected style of broth, all accompanied by a variety of dipping sauces. http://www.rethinkcleveland.org/Media-Center/News.aspx

Northeast Ohio / Cleveland: General Transit Thread
What are you torn about? The litter, fighting and overall unpleasant experience of actually using public transit is carried over to the experience of waiting for public transit. Public Square will have problems from the get go or at least after the initial buzz wears off. Homeless bathing in the splash pool, urinating, taking up benches as camp-out sites, threatening visitors...you know, the usual stuff. Oh, and panhandling a plenty. I say we build a wall around PS. A big beautiful wall. And I don't know why but for some odd reason, Mexico is going to pay for it!

Cleveland: Jack Cleveland Casino
^ Just to clarify those expectations were made before they shoved 7 Racinos down our throats without a vote. Which also killed Phase 2. Without the Racinos Phase 2 would most likely be underway or complete by now.

Cleveland: Downtown Office Buildings Updates
^Yes looking back at Euclid Ave. street lamps those are my favorite. And anything's better than the GCRTA chosen lamps we have now. Was a poor choice IMO. Also regarding the Sterling building here is a cool pic.

What no Chi Chi's...I appreciate the development as a whole and the painstaking work getting it financed, but sometimes Wolstein thinks it's still 1992.

Cleveland - Architectural Lighting discussion
That's also with the field dark. I would think the tower lights would wash some of that out. But don't we always say if you don't like noise and flashing lights don't move to the city.

Cleveland - Architectural Lighting discussion
It would be nice if they were actually intentually lit up, especially with all the events coming up for summer. Maybe someone from the city or at least Geis will notice and say to themselves, hmm well that looks cool.

Cleveland - Architectural Lighting discussion
Anyone else notice the different lighting the last couple of nights on the Breuer, at&t,and the Q? I know they have been testing the new ribbon scoreboards at Progressive. But I wouldn't think they project that much. So idk...

Frye is versatile he might eat up some of Jefferson's minutes. He has been underwhelming in my opinion. And a statue on D.

Cleveland Cavs Discussion
Reports breaking: Cavs trade Andy to Portland for Channing Frye. Also not confirmed Jared Cunningham to Orlando. Cavs would have two open roster spots. Edit-Channing Frye from Orlando in a three team deal.

OK. I thought he was talking about the one to the East of Newton. The one across the street. Simple mistake.
