Cleveland: Public Square Redesign
^ I believe they provide shelter as workers go section by section along the pathways completing all of the intricate brick and stonework. It allows them to do this in cold/wet weather as they most likely are heated. If I recall some of the finishes looked to involve groutwork and concrete stamping.

Condos were always a part of the project at least as shown in the site plan. Also regarding the top of the building , I usually like to stay with the architects original vision. If the NBBJ team can see it differently then I would like to see what they propose. What I would like to see proposed is would be some kind of 'spire' that would reach maybe 150 ft with some kind of design element. This 'spire' would be substantial enough to be considered a part of the buildings overall height. It could also have a lighting component, think One World Trade Center.

I am sure these numbers will continue to change but Stark has an ad in the January SCT that differ from the numbers on the projects website. Website has 150k / Retail - 200k / Office - 1500 / Parking. SCT ad has 125k / Retail - 230k / Office - 2100 / Parking - 120 room / Hotel. 500 apartments remain the same on both.

Cleveland: Transit Ideas for the Future
Yes that makes sense. Of course now I see something called bi-articulates buses. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bi-articulated_bus http://www.novabus.com/october-2012/volvo-sells-120-bi-articulated-chassis-for-bogotas-brt-system.html

Cleveland: Transit Ideas for the Future
KJP/Clvlndr regarding the video above. Is there a BRT that has the capacity of the one above but uses no guide track or wire above. If the tram above was diesel-hybrid and had some steering capabilities could that not be dropped right onto the HealthLine without any major infrastructure needed. That's what is needed. I have seen some concepts online but I don't see them being used anywhere at this point. http://www.gizmag.com/go/6634/ http://www.gizmag.com/autotram-extra-grand-worlds-largest-bus/24053/

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
And yet another idea - because why not. This would place the Justice Ctr/Police Hdqs. just across the street by swapping places with Fort Huntingtonn Park. If would also put the Jail and Parking structure connected by an underground passageway. The Justice Tower would have a podium much like the Hilton that would house Police Hdqs with the Courts/Admin in the tower. I am thinking about 35 floors combined. The Jail/Parking complex would be compromised of 4 floors of parking (800 spaces)with about 8 floors of jail cells on top. These would be along the RR tracks which could be the best use of that space. Fort Huntington Park could remain that until a development worthy of that site comes along.

At this link is the winning entry from PORT for the Main Ave. bridge underpass. There was a recent mtg on the 16th where revisions were presented but I don't see those anywhere. This project would have a big impact but with a very limited budget of 800k it will be tough to realize. A few more dollars would help. http://porturbanism.com/work/mabu/- Cleveland: Hotel Development
