Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Also, I always thought Tower City’s retail strategy should be to create a unique shopping experience that can’t be found in the suburbs. With that in mind, why not go after a few big name retailers and market TCC as a place where they can try out experiential and other concept stores? Could be one way to set it apart.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Love the proposed idea! Really hope it happens. In my opinion, Tower City has some of the most untapped potential of any building in downtown Cleveland. With as much out-of-town traffic as it gets, it should serve as a great resource and representation of the city. I think retail can work downtown and I think this type of concept (mixed retail with blend of entertainment) is the way to go.

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
To follow-up on the “character” part, I thought it’d be neat if the future development copied some of the architectural characteristics of the Warehouse District. I think this project could serve as a nice transition between the two downtown districts and incorporating some of that would be a nice touch. I’m not sure how well it’d go with the rest of the Sherwin Williams campus, though. Just my opinion.

Can you explain the significance of the City Planning and Landmark commissions being present? Anything that should be expected?

Cleveland: Downtown: East 4th Street Developments
Didn’t realize how many establishments have closed on East 4th Street. Sad to see, hopefully they can bounce back sooner than later.

Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
KJP, may you elaborate on a “larger nuCLEus?” Would it be anything close to the original project they proposed?

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Those are all good points that I can get behind. I guess that’s why I’m not the one drawing up the plans! 🙂

Cleveland: Downtown: Sherwin-Williams Headquarters
Not sure if this has been stated yet since I’m new to this site, but I personally wish they would flip the places of their main office tower and pavilion. In my opinion, the tower would be a better fit in relation to the buildings surrounding Public Square, helping to fully enclose it. It’d also likely do a better job at hiding the parking garage if you were standing inside the square. I understand why they’re likely doing it like this- the difference in size of the blocks- but they could’ve used that as an opportunity to increase the height of the tower. Again, just my opinion.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower City / Riverview Development
Hi, new poster here. Glad I found this site since I’m always looking for Cleveland development news now that we moved away. I’m very excited to see what the proposed Amtrak station would do for Tower City. In my opinion, it’s the most underrated building in Cleveland and has so much untapped potential. My question: how would this station fit in with the “Vision for the Valley” proposal along Huron Rd? I liked the idea of green space and trails along the river.
