Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
Saw the rendering in the biz journal article after my above post. Wow. Typical off the shelf Geis mess. They do all the design work in house and value engineer their projects to death.

Cincinnati: Over-the-Rhine: Development and News
These parking people are clearly moronic. That said, if the project is nixed Cincy may or may not be dodging a bullet, Geis' work is mediocre at best. I would love to see a rendering.

Berea: District 46 at CrossCountry Mortgage Campus
I think Berea makes sense given it is the long time home of the Browns headquarters and eventually the teams training camp. It also could meld well with the surrounding neighborhood and boost Berea's downtown. Brookpark makes no sense to me for so many reasons.

Cleveland: Tremont: Development and News
This is a quality development in my mind. Lets do another one on the vacant land across the street.
-
Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
I am sure some are obviously against it but Garfield Hts officials fought tooth and nail to get it.

Cleveland: Lakefront Development and News
Two points we have all been making over and over in this thread and we aren't expert economic strategist. This is obvious even to lay people without doing a fancy analysis.

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
What is fascinating about that last photo is how much has been built on all the depicted vacant land.

Cleveland: University Circle: Circle Square
So I am assuming that my guess, a few days back in the University Circle thread, that the new mysterious Dimit Architects project @KJP has been hinting about is in fact going to be Phase 2 of One University Circle.

Cleveland: Downtown: Justice Center Complex Replacement
There has been so much drama regarding this project that I forget what happened when and why, but wasn’t the scrapping of the transportation Road site due to the opposition of county council? Aren’t they basically responsible for the delays?

2024 US Senate Race
DeWine can be weak kneed, but why does he need to bow down to Trump? While he won't admit it publicly and toes the GOP line, I don't believe he is a major Trump fan. He also doesn't have to pander to the MAGA political base in Ohio since he won't face re-election. I hope for all our sakes he picks Dolan.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower at Erieview & Galleria Renovation
Won't know what impact it will have on the Galleria until the developers figure out what they want to do with it. That is still a mystery at this point and my guess will require more public subsidies.

Cleveland: Campus District
If you are suggesting the NFL sure. I bet good old loyal GOPer Haslam is rubbing his hands together imagining his stadium right next to acres of public housing.

Cleveland: University Circle (General): Development and News
Maybe-finally-Phase 2 of One University Circle? They did the first building.

Medina County: Development and News
If you have then you have been walking on a trial that is only half finished. In fact, as I type this construction equipment is rattling the house I am in which is about 25 feet from my 90 year old mothers sliding glass door into her kitchen. The trial is very isolated and I am sure will rarely be patrolled. It is an ideal situation for those with ill intent. Yes I am worried about this and I am hardly a NIMBY.

Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
Hopefully it will start even sooner, before the end of this year. Apparently there was a small ceremony on site this past week in connection with the closing of financing. It well be difficult to tell how work is or is not proceeding since most of it will be internal.

Cleveland: Which Project Will Be Next and Why
Are you talking just about new proposals? It looks like, Vibrator, Bridgeworks (ugh) and the new Circle Square apartment will all break ground in 2025.

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
Well, there’s clearly nothing wrong with that.🥴

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
Legislature pass laws all the time which are unconstitutional. Is not until the law is eventually applied that a court can rule on the constitutionality. Courts do not issue advisory opinions. You actually have to have a case or controversy.

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
That sounds like a job for @KJP

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower at Erieview & Galleria Renovation
Hope all the demo banging does not drive you nuts.

Cleveland: Downtown: Tower at Erieview & Galleria Renovation
TIF passed Finance Committee. Should pass full council tonight. Demo is slated to begin in November, but of course it will be hard to tell given the nature of the project. Griffin of course brought up the hotel and not wanting downtown to be over built with hotels (a continuing theme of his) and he was assured that Marriott and the lenders did detailed marketing studies and would not be going forward if the studies came up with any negative data.

Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
You would get tons of people getting off 77 on the exit at the north end of the city (cannot recall the name) and then driving down 21 right through the heart of the city.
-
Brook Park: New Cleveland Browns Stadium
I question that. I don't think your average Brecksville resident would want the traffic headaches as well as other game day issues.
-
Cleveland: Ohio City: Development and News
Super great news. This is the one I was really wishing would start. It’s really going to change that whole area and keep the momentum going. TurnDev is my new hero development team. Along with the stuff they’ve done along superior, it is probably the case that their involvement most recently with Erieview is what actually got that project moving.

2024 US Senate Race
I don't know how effective such endorsements from mainstream GOP leaders are these days. Hopefully with independents, but the current Republican base seems to hate moderate Republicans, an endangered species, as much as they hate Democrats. I wonder how somebody like George Vonivich would do against JD Vance in a Republican primary race for the Senate today.
