  1. ^why don't poor seniors who have called it home for years deserve great views of downtown?
  2. ^they had employee orientation this past week. Looks like an early April opening, although date is not set in stone.
  3. ^I have witnessed women being harassed all over the city. It is certainly not unique to PS and news flash: it is not going to stop without real societal changes.
  4. The parking pedestal is what kinda makes me nervous. I have no illusions that parking would not be part of the project, but I have seen this done poorly so many times.
  5. Pretty bad but great article by Michelle. She is amazing.
  6. ^^Well this leads me to believe that we still have a ways to go before this project gets going. Strange because I thought this was something that was going to be breaking ground more than a year ago. I know there was an organizational breakup that probably stalled things but these new vague renderings also show a major shift in concept.
  7. ^I hope this is true. I have been monitoring "expectation posts" on the board concerning this site for a long time. It is such a gapping hole on Euclid (along with the Hippadrone Parking lot) in a prime section of the Avenue.
  8. new apartment building (student housing
  9. ^I also recall some vague hints from other posters
  10. If they are planning on breaking ground in early 2016 (of course I will believe that when I see it) shouldn't that have something detailed by now at least for the St Clair portion as they will have to go through the whole design review process
  11. ^the Crain's article states that the first building is going to be 23 stories.
  12. I note the architect (Gensler) designed the new PNC Bank Building in Pittsburgh of which I am a big fan.
  13. Really don't understand your quote about retail (that it is time we take the plunge). You make it sound as if a central committee is deciding whether or not retail expands downtown rather than market conditions.
  14. I really cannot believe this. This has got to be the most "no brainer" lot to develop in Cleveland.
  15. I like including the walnut cabinets. Very warm. Agree with comment made about that the design allows for a variety of furnishings from modern to more traditional. I feel many new rehabs and new construction apartments pretty much require contemporary furnishings which can be a problem if you are moving from a house where you have accumulated more traditional (and often very expensive) furniture over the years (like empty nesters who are a driving force behind the move back to the city).
  16. ^OMG Cleburger, you have to seek professional help regarding your Hilton condo campaign LOL. You have got to have at least 50 separate posts in the past couple of years stating that they should have put condos on top of the Hilton in nearly 10 different threads. I bet there is even one in the Restaurant News thread. I think you need to win the lottery, build a hotel and put condos on top of it or you may never get a good night sleep again
  17. ^Isn't K&D doing or is going to do major renovations in that area of the building? Maybe they were forced out by this? I recall reading an article about the renovations a while back but can't remember the details
  18. ^Wow....clearly this Steiner guy has missed his calling. He should be running as a GOP candidate for president. He reminds of another idiot developer who says ridiculous things.
  19. ^Is it possible they first have to complete asbestos abatement for demolition? I would have thought they would just knock it down instead of the piece meal interior work they seem to be doing.
  20. ^Didn't CWRU and the art museum buy it together?
  21. ^both municipal and common pleas judges handle civil and criminal cases. I don't think they would want to travel to two different locations and they would want their own courtrooms rather than sharing.
  22. ^I would imagine that anything that is going to be started before the end of the year would already have been before the Planning Commission or on the near agenda so we would pretty much already know what this allegded project is, especially the way KJP keeps us up to date with its agenda. A project may be the works but I can"t imagine it would break ground in the next three months.
  23. ^If I recall correctly some Warehouse District lots were also part of the deal with the California investment company as well as the lots and building in the Gateway District
  24. ^Wow I got a big chuckle from your post "young man". Look up "pescht" (am I spelling that right) on this board. It was discussed for years here and I believe you will find all we had to say very entertaining.
